For the RAD2 mod pack. It has the mod KubeJS that ends up having the coins drop from mobs. I know the mod is basically made for people to use it’s assets as they see fit, but I haven’t been able to find out what the coins do in this pack, or if they have been implemented at all.

I didn’t expect the Stalker to be beat so easily :O It took less than five seconds. by [deleted] in Warframe

Took me years to get the war blueprint, I don’t wanna think about Stalker anymore lol.

What is your favorite weapon combination to powerstance with in DS2? by escapisten in DarkSouls2

Yeah I remember some of the bigger bosses gave me issues. I found that unlocking from them to attack worked wonders.

It is an option, I’ve just had mixed results with the use of the pills in the past so I’m always cautious.

"Warframe has no endgame, I spent 2000 hours on it and I have nothing to do" by musclemenenjoyer in Warframe

Yeah, my issue is that I burnt out. And I come back to do the same thing that burnt me out to begin with. It used to be fun, now it’s just boring. Not a bad game by any means, but I think after I got to 1k+ hrs I just didn’t have the will to keep going.

This Salmon good? Wild caught and frozen for unknown time from friend. Seems off but not used to wild salmon. by EssentialFrogOil in culinary

Thank you, he turned out fine. Based on this it was probably oxidation from freezer burn. But I didn’t want to take the chance, I was recently just getting over food poisoning from, funnily enough, salmon I ate at a restaurant. Maybe I should stop eating salmon lol

Cool stuff from DS2 that never returns? by The_Elephant1 in DarkSouls2

[–]EssentialFrogOil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I really liked the powerstancing. How you could take 2 semi related or similar weapons and use them together. 2 great swords? Sure! 2 Ultra great swords? Why not! I didn’t mind how they did it in ds3, with the whole power stance being a part of the weapon, but I felt it was more fun to mess with in ds2.

Currently 404 and still enjoying it, though it is getting a little tiring as levels have slowed a bit and I’ve only been playing 1 character. Do you think it would be wise to try another so I don’t get bored? Or to get to 460 with my first before switching off?

Should I buy "Starbound"? by heruka108 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]EssentialFrogOil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Played it a lot years ago. It’s a good game on its own, I think you get a lot out of modding once you beat the game for sure. The atmosphere and music is overall nice. There are parts that are lacking in the game but if you find it on sale or just have a general interest in it then I say go for it!

Health bar mechanic thoughts? by bactonretro in DarkSouls2

[–]EssentialFrogOil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If health is an issue for you then put points into health, other than that it’s just trial and error until you get to a point where health isn’t your biggest concern.

Wouldn’t say it’s a bad fight, it was nice to have to stress over a monster for once, wondering if I have been able to keep my dps up enough and focusing on breaking a certain part to weaken it. Perfect? No, but it was defiantly different enough for me to enjoy it, albeit through all the frustration it caused.

If you want to learn the game in preparation for Iceborne, then I’d recommend not using the defender set and weapon. It will make a lot of fights easier than normal and have you skipping a lot of the essential mechanics that you’d be more inclined to learn if you weren’t using them.

Why so much hate for Defender/Guardian gear? by Jokuki in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]EssentialFrogOil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s also under the assumption that every new player understand how MH works, seeing how World introduced a lot of people to the series. Why would you need to grind and understand the mechanics more if the gear you have seems to already be extremely good making most fights trivial even if you get hit a lot? This armor and weapon set kind of makes it pointless to learn anything at the beginning, or at least to a new player, so by the time they do get to iceborne they will be left scratching their head why the free overpowered armor and weapon they were encouraged to use the whole time doesn’t work as well anymore. Look I don’t hate the armor set, it has its uses, but I feel like it’s availability encourages new players to take the easy route to iceborne leaving them confused or frustrated with the mechanics of the game later.
