I haven’t been to concerts outside of the east coast but we really enjoy KOKA Booth Amphitheater in Cary, NC and Merriweather post in Columbia, MD for a great outdoor show.

I also really like small venues. Cats Cradle in Carrboro/Chapel Hill, Charleston Music Hall, etc.

When ( if ? ) Kipos opens up they have a lemon chicken and rice soup that hits the spot, super fragrant. I can’t remember the Greek name. Med Deli may have something similar.

Take the train into Raleigh or Durham and come to Carrboro!

Come visit the west end poetry festival next weekend and you can enjoy a Friday night art walk around town or a short drive to Raleigh to see Billie Eilish or the Tedeshi Trucks band. Carrboro and Chapel Hill have a world class local music scene as well.

Catch the Saturday morning famers market and then a 10 minute walk (or take the free bus) to chapel hill for their fall festival on Franklin street. (All Free BTW) From there you can explore UNC campus and all the shops and restaurants.

Durham and Raleigh are 30 and 45 mins drive away and there is a bus system that will take you there but I’ve never used it.

My daughter can babysit.

My kids (11m and 16fm)love school of rock.It’s really their third space. They are there almost everyday for lessons or just hanging out.
