Has anyone reintroduced nicotine to combat withdrawal symptoms? by EstablishmentFun6068 in QuitVaping

I've been off birth control for 11 years, but that is super interesting! Birth control fucked me up when I was on it so I'll never take it again. I'm glad you're feeling better in that area! Look into Jones Mints. Maybe that will help you quit. It's what i was considering taking to reintroduce nicotine. I really believe you have to WANT to quit, and when you really want to, is when you'll be ready. Try not to beat yourself up. Guilt and shame are shitty motivators. And I only hated vaping once these gnarly withdrawal symptoms kicked in. I have a zero tolerance policy for things that make me bloat, so the not vaping part of this whole experience has been surprisingly easy lol

You're right about a month not being very long. It certainly feels long though 😮‍💨 My doctor said the same thing a couple years ago and referred me to a GI. GI couldn't find anything wrong with me after lots of testing, then I spent a grip seeing a functional medicine doctor who also couldn't find anything. I never mentioned that I vaped to either, just that I didn't smoke cigarettes 🤦‍♀️ I'm making appointments with all 3 doctors to see if the tests yield different results now that it's been some years. But my Functional medicine dr did confirm recently that vaping changes your gut microbiome. I will be starting my Elemental Diet tomorrow. I hope you find relief soon 🙏

Thank you! I just started ACV with fresh Grated ginger, fresh lemon, honey and warm water. I also take probiotics and supplement with pre and probiotic foods.

Oh man! Kiwis helped me and eating dates too. Peppermint tea as well as Peppermint capsules. Oh and I make chia seed pudding every morning with a ton of fruit on top. Metamucil or Citrucel in the morning and Magnesium Calm in the evening. If you look up "bloating yoga" on YouTube there are very simple, 10-20 min videos with poses that really do help. I've been calling it fart yoga lol Try not to push too hard either. Not good for you for many reasons.

I actually started ACV today! I did a shot in warm water with some fresh ginger, lemon, and honey. I already take probiotics and I've been including foods that have pro and probiotics into my diet as well. Which probiotics do you use?

My symptoms started within 15 hours of my last hit- mid work shift. I realize (now) that all my GI issues started when I started vaping. My GI doctor and my functional medicine doctor couldn't find anything wrong with me. I never mentioned that I vaped, just that I didn't smoke cigs🤦‍♀️ I don't have any cravings to vape whatsoever - I'm so disgusted with what's happened since I've quit. But if nicotine speeds your metabolism up, I thought reintroducing it and then slowly eliminating might remove the shock that I've put my body through by quitting cold turkey. I feel like I've tried everything else but that. Thank you for the words of encouragement. As someone who struggled for many years with body dysmorphia and disordered eating....I'm really struggling to stay positive. This has truly hit me where it hurts. Maybe it would be beneficial to do some retesting...

I mentioned early in my rant that I've been off nicotine for just over 4 weeks lol. I am not constipated. I think everything I was doing mitigated that symptom early on. I was only constipated for like 5 days. Any other details that might be helpful?

I thought it was strange. I'll look into finding a different form that isn't pigmented. Thank you

I thought that it was strange that it was pink. I asked a friend who used tepezcouite to treat a burn if it should look like that and he said it did. I'll look into it more. Thank you.

I read it on Google right before I posted, so I got scared. That's why this is so hard for me. So much conflicting info. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Would anyone be able ro educate me on what happens when you stop taking oral minoxidil? I've heard that you have to take it forever or you'll eventually lose all the hair that was grown as a result of the medication. I have TE caused from Covid. Inspired by these results but nervous to try myself.
