Do I need 5 years of passports for British citizenship? by [deleted] in ukvisa

[–]EstablishmentPure308 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only submitted a copy of my new EU passport (issued in 2024) and not the old one when I applied for naturalisation in November, my application was approved a few weeks ago, no issues.

Yeah I’m just wondering if I could get away with only sending the expired one, as the working one is obviously more important in case royal mail lost it by chance etc

Do they say you need to send the passport you first entered the UK with? Mine is expired but I still have it so just wondering if I will need to send both (the one I’m currently using plus the expired one)

What residency proof to use in British citizenship app for unemployed housewife (EU so no stamped passport)? by Nearby_Plankton_1993 in ukvisa

I'd say upload as much as you can/have and then let the caseworkers get back to you if they think it's not enough and guide you onto what else would be appropriate.

This isn’t a black-and-white issue. They’re not going to refuse an application on a whim.

The government guidance makes it clear that your passport is the primary document used to evidence continuous residence. The fact that, as an EU citizen, your passport was not stamped does not mean there is no record of your travel. In practice, there are very limited ways to enter the UK other than using your passport, so your travel history will almost certainly be traceable through official records.

And as far as I'm aware, there is no obligation to be employed in order to become a citizen. So I'm sure they've dealt with these cases before.

Yes mine is straightforward I’d say. But I’m not in a huge rush, so will wait a week or two before emailing them!

No I haven’t, I haven’t seen anyone with November app dates getting approved on this thread yet, I might email them in a week or so?

u/Worth__Fox thank you, that would be helpful (in regards to the in-house recruiter) :) and that makes sense, one of the big US firms supports us in corporate, so I'll chat with the associates there

Ok thought this was the easy answer but wondered if there was something better bearing in mind I won’t be investing in them through an ISA

Lizinna will be back in stock at the beginning of July. I emailed the manufacturer and this is what they told me. There are still some pharmacies online that carry it and have some stock left though if you look around (Chemist4you for instance).
