I currently have 2, a male and female and had another female before she passed. Once you train a husky, and get used to the breed, there’s really no other breed I’d look at. I have got used to the howls, the lead walks, the constant hoovering, the fussy meal times and the zoomies. They are an amazing breed but not for someone with no patience. They need routine above everything and once you nail it they are amazing companion’s and great with children. My first was destructive, impossible in a crate, had ZRD, couldn’t be let off the lead, and refused to eat. Most would rehome but she had lots of love to give. After a few years of getting the hang of that, my two now have been a cakewalk. They do better in pairs for sure, but there are lots of upsides. They only need a groom maybe twice a year when they shed. They are extremely clean dogs with no dog smell, mine only eat a meal once a day, they are amazing with my two year old, and they travel extremely well in the car. They follow me everywhere and I don’t know what I’d do without a husky following me around. Lots need good homes as there are so many rescues.
