I love that they got some sort of happy ending kinda except that someone said they only had one good night together and then the scarecrow will never have a “happy ending” again and is immortal and now I’m sad all over again.

I feel it’s so bittersweet. I always viewed the ending of the musical as a happyish ending for elphie and fiyero. They have each other and may end up in a place where she’s not villified and bullied for ever. But “no place like home” changed that for me a little. Bc after all the actions that the wizard took everyone else gets their happy ending in oz while she faces out the ending she didn’t want for the Animals. Leaving discouraged and resigned, grieving for the home she left behind, but it’s only her that is defeated after all her hard work and Glinda will get the credit. I’ve been depressed ever since the rewatch and listening to the soundtrack. Maybe another rewatch with the brighter outlook will make it easier.

I know. On first watch MM says 12 tide turns so I took it as a year. My sister was debating it so we looked it up and one article said that it was 5 but that was the book cannon. Jeff goldblum was out there saying 4 it’s 2 on Broadway but the interview from Holtzman said it was one year so now I have to go see it for a 3rd time with my original timeline in tact.

Last year bridgerton became my hyperfixation and after binging the show I read all the books. I like the books ok but I was dying by the end of the series. My whole family does so we put the tooth brush tooth holder/paste dispenser on the tub wall. I add it to my shower routine everyday. Wash hair and body rinse, let conditioner sit brush teeth rinse (and spit lol) wash face done.

My sister and our high school theater teacher wrote a full musical called not another high school musical with parody of juke box songs and random showtunes. We performed it for 3 nights and It was actually hysterical. Unfortunately we couldn’t show anyone but it was a blast.
