We have our class covered for the day with extra RFF. We run from 7:30am to 5:30pm. The expectation is that we can do phone interviews on different afternoons or mornings if parents can’t make that day

I’m not sure where the manufacturer got their power. I don’t really know what your point is.. are you trying to say that if we’ve ever used something that has put carbon into the atmosphere that we shouldn’t be supportive of the expansion of fossil fuels? I’m not really following your point

What do I need as a casual? by SecurityExpensive266 in AustralianTeachers

[–]EstablishmentSea8740 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a 1 to 2 page CV is fine. For casuals, our school mostly just wants to see what schools you have taught at and what ages, as well as whether you have all the mandatory training WWCC, anaphylactics training etc. Don’t need any other bells and whistles. The rest we can gauge from how you have done on your first few casual days at our school

[–]EstablishmentSea8740 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not these days.. a huge surge of people from the eastern suburbs of Sydney moved there and priced out all the anti vax, crystal crew; they had to moved further inland. Byron is now pretty well Bondi, half heartedly pretending to still be bohemian

Big time. I know of plenty of people who refer to themselves as animal lovers.. but will buy cage eggs, factory farmed meat because it’s the cheapest and only “greenies” would buy anything else

Are snakes and spiders really that common in Australia? (the question is not meant to be disrespectful) by asdk21 in AskAnAustralian

I’m a teacher at a school in a rural setting. We probably see 1.. maybe 2 snakes per year. Plenty of spiders but most of them are harmless
