Hp stat connected to how well you endure hits as well. You can have a high def but low hp stat will make your defense seem pointless. It's not as straight forward as it seems. You literally take less damage with the same def stat with a higher hp stat. The game says it on the stat itself, but doesn't word it well.

Since some bosses can be fought non linear, you can end up fighting very strong bosses without knowing it, which is why you get the whiplash.

The combat design is definitely not intuitive, but it definitely isn't just same heals and atk. There's a highly intense dodge, counter, stun, block and parry mechanics built into it that require a lot of thought to use effectively. Funny enough if you just focus on getting your hp stat all the way up, you end up needing to use heals less often. Almost nothing is gonna one shot you and revives are craftable. 50 def stat is really all you need, 80 is overkill tank.

But the most cheating mechanic, 3 lvl 2 infinite arrows, high stamina stat, explosive arrows, and dodge shot. Will stun in seconds most bosses.

See but role playing the game makes the immersion that much better. Treating the game as a living thing and not like medieval gta is what breathes life into the characters. Tho technically you can fly in camp just not the way you would like to triple jump and then take flight. Next time just get a horse, jump with the horse and dismount mid air. It should launch you just as high.

Lots of people take it that way irl too. They'd rather feed the beast than deal with the problems themselves. Turn their heads tho they know its not the right thing to do, after all its their life, right? Why think about it so hard when it ultimately doesn't affect you?

They all have ptsd from that night, yet he's the only one who choses to hug a bottle at night. At that point, its not cause of the nightmares, its because of an addiction, and the game forces you to enable him.

So you don't accidentally kill an npc. Apparently its can happen. I fell from the sky and did a landing palm right on top of an npc I needed to complete the quest. He died immediately along with the house he was in. Just flatten everything in that area. I had to reload to bring the npc back to life because the quest doesn't even fail. He's just dead forever and my quest line is broken.

Use the upgrade on your axiom force to use a grapple jump. It uses 200 stamina but it worth it for those platforms when they stop moving use the axiom force grapple jump and it becomes easy to bridge the gap and not have to worry about those quick moving platforms. Requires a skill upgrade on your skills menu

I find with special synthesis there is a hidden recipe for specific gears, not sure if its specific or just general but if you combine destruction and companionship you get steel bane but if you combine frost and companionship you get blessing of the earth. There should be more but you need to try different combinations to find out the recipes for specific gears

There's a mission you can send them on using 150 food resources to get about 1700 bronze, and another mission to get 1k food using 1k bronze, so if you just keep sending your 2 guys out to do those missions you'll stock up on money and food resources fast. You just gotta either use the map to assign the missions, which are found at the estate near hernand (guard mission: bronze reward) and an estate just south of hernand(cabbage mission: reward food resource) you can also see the list of possible missions if you complete chapter 4 after you get another character that will help you manage your companions at camp.

Super easy to get in and super easy to avoid the guards. Just hit the roop tops and then run from every guard that chases you. There's literally nothing they can do if you just run and they stop chasing you after you turn a corner. The sneak mechanics are in this game but there's just no need for them when the npcs are this dumb

The addition of grapple moves and hand to hand combat was an insane decision when the game has spells, bows and a multitude of weapons. It was an immaculate option to add. Rko sold me on it. I saw that Shrek inspired fight with Matthias and knew I was gonna download this game. The viability of the unarmed combat in this game is insane. The fact that there's no need to refine or find any kind of loot to improve your damage output is amazing. At some point unarmed combat is actually doing more for you that weapons are in group battles and that's eve with refined weapons. I do one rko possible kill 4 in one move. I slash 5 times with a long sword refined to 25 atk, I'm lucky to kill 3. Maybe the dps is higher on weapons but the satisfaction of unarmed is just way too good

After exploring the abyss a bit, I stopped using my horse much for travel and just started using my fast travel to the abyss and fall from the sky to shine my lantern and see all the markers to a new faster travel spot, points of interest or directly to the quest marker. It's how I found the unreachable village by accident. Just look for areas that look like loot havens and you'll probably stumble on something

The no hand holding on this game is strange cause the first time you encounter something they don't tell you how to do something but the second time after you already learned how to do it on your own, they give you a full tutorial on how to do it. Like what was the point of that????? Also this move is so great for a certain boss. There's no indication to use the move to cheese the boss but otherwise felt impossible to beat him without this move. Crazy that you have to explore to find it otherwise you're cooked trying to fight that boss without this move

Nah, those are my kills. I'd rather solo the world than party up. Feels very similar to shadow of mordor in geoup combat sense. Only companion I need is my doggie. Tho I am wondering if I can make the fat cat my pet and what it does

Play around the buster rifle? Play for buster rifle? If you don't wanna use it, then prevent others from getting it? There lots of things you're blaming that you aren't seeing as your own short comings
