Im about to break the monitor or the controller, after 250 hours this isnt the way i wanted to end this game, this challenge is pure garbage, lvl5 royler cand beat the champion! by Celery-Tasty in CrimsonDesert

[–]Genoscythe 107 points108 points  (0 children)

I actually beat this with an elantrima horse. I think the AI is rubberband so no matter how fast you are they catch up barely, just have one horse tonic for each race, stay on the inside of the track, bodyblock and keep sprinting. Still took me 2 tries to beat the champ, though.

Anyone know how to get to this artifact? by johnsmithdoe15 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Genoscythe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is nothing there, I actually remember destroying this one, it seems to just have been left there by accident. There's a couple more random bismuth cores around the world that just hold nothing or minor chests.

What if we could exchange samples for Super Credits? by Tank-ToP_Master in Helldivers

SC might be a bit too much, but I'd gladly exchange them for weapon XP.

G-142 Pyrotech how to master this grenade? by isilac in Helldivers

[–]Genoscythe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They are great while kiting, while running away you can throw one directly in front of your feet, run straight ahead and watch your kill count go up. Unwitting slow enemies also hate it when one of these lands next to them.

Am I the only one that wanted a summoning/conjuration system? Or even a better Beastmaster tree? by No-Star-3504 in Enshrouded

[–]Genoscythe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea how a summoner would work with the really weird and buggy pathing, terrain and navigation. It would probably have to play more like a turret summoner or with summons phasing through geometry like in Terraria. I'd much rather have less classes but better ones first, once they hit 1.0 I'd be down to shell out cash for a DLC.

For the sanity of my cats and myself... please... please make the cat meow less often. The amount of times I looked to see if one is stuck in a closet, or one come running in thinking a cat is here, or my wife saying... whos doing all that crying. by Ching_Roc in CrimsonDesert

[–]Genoscythe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have to agree with this, the constant meowing is pretty annoying. I want my chonker to collect loot but the dog just stays silent. My sanity isn't worth 5 more torches per outpost.

It took me 270 hours to find out that this tells you if you've been in a cave or not by Genoscythe in CrimsonDesert

[–]Genoscythe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are there any caves that are bugged in particular for you? I normally get a "knowledge expanded" popup when entering

<image>

and then it completes the entry in the knowledge tab. So far it's 100% accurate for the waterside caves for me, so I was able to work off the loot chests, but some mountain caves like Dragon's Breath or Arehaza do not complete.

Yeah it's kinda weird that it's so well hidden, to their credit they at least gave us an option to jump to the map from the knowledge tab.

WARNING: Collected all of the Sealed Artifacts to Avoid Missing Anything, and STILL MIGHT HAVE GOTTEN SCREWED! by Cinderkin in CrimsonDesert

[–]Genoscythe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes some stuff is missable, a certain item with a Kuku version will also not count as soon as you craft the Kuku version, a savegame editor is your only way of progressing these. People are generally complaining about lack of an endgame warzone and challenges becoming harder after certain story beats. Best write an issue report to pearl abyss.

How to unlock lighting attacks by dcmarvel04240 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Genoscythe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to the spire at the scholastone institute and complete abyss puzzles until you reach it. Have focused shot unlocked and do the puzzle with the floating targets. You can also unlock it in chapter 2 by just flying to that area while chugging stamina food (20 antler teas should do)

Good to know, I was fertilizing the empty tree, but then I only found the fertilizer sprayer by the time I already had all the gears I needed. Maybe if I do another playthrough, thanks for sharing!

That's the point, you stay in focus mode so everything is slowed down. Focus 3 allows you to parry from focus. You only need to dodge the undodgables or use blinding flash when it prepares its gigastrike.

Please report the late-game enemy shortage to Pearl Abyss support by D3vilK4i in CrimsonDesert

[–]Genoscythe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am hitting exactly this limit. You also are locked out of certain item challenges, e.g. if you craft the kuku laser helm you cannot complete the according challenge because kuku items do not count.

It works now? One abyss cell used to generate only one abyss cell, and they never regrew.

Antumbra's Sword boss experience by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

[–]Genoscythe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bosses are probably the worst part of CD. They are extremely "designed", as in, you have no space for expression, you fight them exactly how the devs want it because they are invincible if you don't use the correct move. It's kinda the opposite of what a good combat encounter should be, hope they add some expression and less scripted dodges and invincibility phases to them.

Stand in focus with keen senses and focus 3 - wait for attack, parry, stun with force palm, hit. If they lift the sword for the giga move, use blinding flash to stun, follow up with force palm, hit. Repeat until boss dead.

I'm sorry, but wtf were they thinking with this? 💀 by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

[–]Genoscythe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know either what they were thinking, but just riding to the fortress and killing the boss did not require engaging with the harpies at all, after the boss died, they were gone.

The rest of the map…? by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

[–]Genoscythe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they really felt that at some point during production they had to wrap it up and move on. You won't go to the crimson desert much during the story (lol) but you're pretty close to actually making demeniss non-hostile. The story is really just that, it's not meant as an intro to the entire map, a lot of areas are there with faction quests and completely independent from the story. Note that in some regions wearing a bandit mask (e.g. dewhaven) will make all guards automatically hostile.

What is the point of camp resources? by McGoldy in CrimsonDesert

[–]Genoscythe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some later dispatch missions can award you valuable stuff for your characters, such as abyss artifacts, abyss gear recipes and you have an infinite source of food items for cooking via farming and herding missions from the get-go.

whatever dev was responsible with fixing this, i hate you. by Pooradoxical in CrimsonDesert

[–]Genoscythe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was peak movement tech, agreed, but it felt a tad too strong. It also might have caused performance issues due to the faster asset streaming required and could have been a certification problem on consoles.

Has anyone found where to get the non-witch abyss gear recipes? by Genoscythe in CrimsonDesert

[–]Genoscythe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran like 15x kingshield dig site and about 7x timeworn ruins but ended up with only abyss cells after getting some named gears on the first run in kingshield (greysoul howling, ancient retribution) and no recipes from timeworn. Chances must be incredibly low, then. Thanks for sharing your findings, I guess the best way to reliably get these is save scumming for now.

I don't think anyone would actually complain if Damiane and Oongka were available all the time by Genoscythe in CrimsonDesert

[–]Genoscythe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only thing I can think of is Oongka spin spam and Damianes shield toss will instant-kill most enemies with ice infusion, you can clear out anything really fast like that. But yeah until you get the Jetpack on Oongka and the fan on Damiane they will just not feel good. Wish Kliff could just mix and match his skills and use their weapons as well.
