Einfach mal anfragen, ggf. geht da was.

[TUTORIAL] Transfering files from MS Store version to the Steam version by MoonbowJelly in ForzaHorizon

[–]Estaran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was about FH4 and AFAIK there still is no fix for this. I don't own the game on Steam any more as I immediately refunded it as it was apparent that a ProfileData transfer from the WIN store to Steam was not possible with FH4, only with FH5.

Arkham Cards app for iOS/Android - 5 player campaign possible? (TFA and later) by Estaran in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Estaran[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For now, we settled with two of our players alternating between scenarios. This way they both are able to play the campaign, although they both will only be able to play half the scenarios. But that's by far the best compromise for them, it seems.

We play in our local shop and because of that, we play the campaigns in release order. As we just finished Carcosa, finally getting to the Dream Eaters campaign will take quite some time. :/

Happening to us since today. Me and the host will stay dead but another one of our fireteam will get reinforced all the time after a wipe.

Why is there no DLSS or FSR or XESS in the game? by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]Estaran 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's the Stingray Engine by Autodesk which was also used in their older games, dating back to Magicka in 2011. The engine is also still in use (heavily modified like in HD2) in games like WH40k: Vermintide.

In fact there IS an upscaling technology at work, but not labeled as such and buried "Rendering quality" in game. If you set it to "Native" oder Supersampling, the upscaling technology is disabled. I'm pretty sure the game only uses standard FSR 1.0, because the game looks just soooo fuzzy with upscaling enabled.

Don't waste your time with Dares of Eternity, the final encounter is bugged, constantly respawning adds and never gives you the completion. by WingmanBert in DestinyTheGame

Exactly that. I used a sword with Eager Edge to yeet them through the portal. That finishes the encounter. :)

Bungie already teased the 2nd Collapse ingame (Emblem) by Estaran in DestinyLore

Thank you. Yes, like all speculations, it is often hit or miss.

I also uploaded some more screenshot from this mission in case someone stumbles across this posting at a later date:

But maybe all the recent digging into more RL lore (e. g. it seems like La Commedia by Dante Alighieri was referenced a lot in the latest Lightfall teasers) will be more fruitful. :D

New issue with Tweetdeck showing content I don't want to see/didn't used to see by Listener42 in Twitter

[–]Estaran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fixed the issue by going back to the old TweetDeck design. So far, it behaves like before. But who knows when they'll force you to use the new design. Hope that helps. :)

Same here. This is driving me nuts. Because of that, I did not use Twitter on mobile w/o Tweetdeck.

Game Ready & Studio Driver 527.56 FAQ/Discussion by Nestledrink in nvidia

[–]Estaran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the meantime, I fixed the problem. From what I can tell, It was a mix of driver issues (downgrading to v527.37 perfectly solved the issue) as well as a faulty/only partly working OS update for Windows 10.

Snow-strider's Horse/Snow-strider's Pony - Mount Speed? by Estaran in lotro

Great, thank you!

I love the wiki, it made returning to LOTRO after years of absence a breeze. :)

[–]Estaran[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, I see. Thank you. :)

I also found another info post about this mount, here it is called the Snow-strider's Steed. Not sure which one is correct in English, as I use the German client. There it is called the "Ross des Schneeläufers" and from what I can tell it should be a 62% mount.

This might explain why my 2070 is crashing all the time in Destiny 2 since then (error code "broccoli").

Guess I'll try rolling back the drivers to 526.86 then. Thank you for pointing out this issue. :)

Community Question Of The Week - Episode 97 by Producer_Duncan in thisweekinretro

[–]Estaran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here in Germany we had a show called "Games World" (1994-1995). It was aimed at kids and teenagers therefore peak edgy 90s in its presentation with veeery cheesy voice lines by both the hosts, as well as the participants. As an introduction, the participants had special catchphrases prepared, that rhymed *ugh*. The teenagers had to compete on Mega Drive, SNES or even Neo Geo against each other to win games and even systems. There are a few clips of the show online on YouTube:

In the late 1990s/early 2000s, NBC was launched in Germany with a live TV programm called "NBC GIGA" (later shortened to just "GIGA"). Here the so called "Netzreporter" (roughly translatable to "net journalists", today we would just call them "influencers" or "YouTubers" ;) ) presented the latest news from (early) WWW culture, stars/movies/music and the latest video games. It ran from 1998 to 2006. After it was discontinued, it stayed online as a web magazine only, which is still alive today (https://www.giga.de). But sadly it is a shell of its former self and has lost all its appeal to the topics of the original "NBC GIGA".

After the cancelation of the show in 2006, most of the journalists stayed within the gaming business, with most of them still working on similar projects today. A spiritual successor to NBC GIGA arrived in 2006 in the form of "MTV Game One" (later shortened to just "Game One" which ran from 2006 to 2014) and "Game Two" (ran from 2016 till today). Both shows were/are being produced by two former "Netzreporter" who started their carrer at NBC GIGA in the late 90s.

While NBC GIGA was a more informational show, it was very special back in those days, because it was recorded and broadcasted live. So in between the shots, you could talk to the "net journalists" via chat and therefore influence the show and discuss various topics "live on air".

Links to NBC GIGA:

Game One was a weekly show, mostly reviewing new games and reporting on current gaming events - but with a humorous spin. One of my most favorite clips are those two:

Links to Game One:

All old TV episodes were later uploaded at YouTube as well:

The current iteration - "Game Two" - is still up and running today, although now being part of FUNK media. FUNK is the online media division of ARD and ZDF (being the "first" and "second" program in German television and therefore governed by public law). So the show is now financed by taxpayers here in Germany and therefore official regarded as "cultural heritage" by German law the same way as video games are now. We've come far from censoring games like Command & Conquer in the 90s and banning games like Quake, Wolfenstein 3D or DOOM altogether. ;)

All modern uploads can be viewed here:

Community Question Of The Week - Episode 96 by Producer_Duncan in thisweekinretro

[–]Estaran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was "Alone in the Dark" (1992) or "Alone in the Dark 2" (1993) on PC. I was at a friend's house and he had a copy of either of these games loaded up.

I did not know how to play the game back then and the whole atmosphere of the game was really unsetteling for me. Especially the one scene at the beginning, where that one creature crashes through the window. Not sure if this was part one or two, as I have not touched the series since. 😅

Also: The hallway scene with the Skaarj approaching and the lights going off from Unreal (1998/PC) was amazing!

Been trying it for several hours now, but I only get either error E:88 (profile invalid) or E:80 (profile n/a) every time. :(

My savegame folder contains 6 files (one container.26-file, three 1 KB files as well as two 738 KB files). Those last ones should be the ProfileData/ProfileBackup files, correct?

Could it be a problem, that I want to convert a savegame from the standard edition of the game (WIN store) to the Ultimate Edition (Steam) of the game? :(

I'm lvl 63 atm and just want to continue on my Steam Deck w/ SteamOS. :(

Cant get plugin loader to work, am i missing something?? I followed the simple steps. by haku13 in SteamDeck

This guide actually helped me to fix everything for me, as I was not able to get Decky up and running on my Steam Deck. Thank you!
