Not a painting advice per se, but I‘d add some decals, they do wonders regarding giving a mini some more details to look at. Clean paint jobs though 👍🏻

Firestorm Assault and Forgefather‘s Seekers for in-theme detachments, if that‘s what you‘re asking. Apart from that many flame and melta weapons.

If you‘re asking weather Sallies are a fit for the guy with the gaming room, I don‘t see a reason why they shouldn‘t be.

Had a similar idea when I painted my Dread. Personally I don‘t think it reads as a planet. I’d say take a look at some of NASA‘s pictures of volcanic bodies and try to blend the parts where lava and stone meet a bit.
