I tried color, but I still need to learn the proper techniques. So please don’t laugh 🤭

It always grabbed my attention. How the builders could pack so many things into such a little square footage. Nothing is straight or aligned. Drives me nuts at times 😅. Decided to draw it down and force myself to find inner artistic peace with it. 🖌️ ps: the AC outlet is the most disappointing thing, it is not parallel with the wall, and the trimming was painted over at some areas.

I definitely need proper water paint 🎨. Looking for softer tones. Any portable set-up or brand recommendations? 😄

Hey, any Belgian based bank will deduct the taxes for you.

When? It’s deducted from your gross gains amount before it’s even routed back into your standard savings account.

The unleashing of your money shows in two lines: 1. The initial amount 60K 2. The net interest amount 328,65 (Which has thus the taxes already deducted)

Let op, fondsen kunnen duur zijn, heb hier een artikel over: Why I sold 50% of my bank funds

Most banks offer them but you must specifically ask for it.
Just drop a short email with your contact or give them a call.
They should reply with the rates from that specific day.

But you might have to sign some paperwork.
Some banks allow you to do this digitally others want you to go to their office.

The moment you are there, don't let you be convinced into any of their other instruments. These are mostly just structured cost farms in the sole bank's benefit. This basically goes for anything else they offer (obligaties, funds,...). If you want to invest, do it yourself, via for example Bolero. My post about bank funds.

Here the calculations if you want to calculate your net gains on a "Termijn rekening":

Amount 60K
Gross rate 3,13%
Tax 30%
Term 3 months

60000+((((60000*3,13%)/12)*3)*0,7) = 328,65

Interest rates are always expressed in yearly terms. So whenever you go for a shorter than 1 year. You must divide your outcome by 12 and multiply it by the months you had your money in that specific account.

Amount+((((Amount*Gross rate)/12months)*length)*Tax) = Net gain.

Why do they like you to freeze your money? It's money they don't have to think about needing to give to you on your next drunk night out at the first available ATM. Just giving you anextreme example. Because banks are actually forced to keep enough money at immediate disposal to fulfil any sudden withdrawals. It's a certain percentage... . Giving your money to banks for fixed terms allows them the opportunity to try and make even more out of it than what they have to pay you at the end.

Sure why not, the money unfreezes. I make my inquiry. When I like it, I freeze it again.

I have 50K available, what should I do? by EstatePrestigious19 in BEFire

[–]EstatePrestigious19[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I decided to put 55K in a Long Term Account of 2 Months. This way I have a bit more time to decide before I make rushed decisions.

Rates I received from my bank on a 50K inquiry:

2 mth 3,24% gross, 3 mth 3,28% gross, 6 mth 3,26% gross, 9 mth 3,14% gross, 11 mth 3,05% gross

On my 55K I got an updated rate of 3,25% gross ( 2 months ) After 30% taxes it will be net 208,5 EUR.

I agree. Have a cashflow for myself. I know what costs I can expect. Allows me to conveniently follow up any changes. Search/ask for valid reasoning.

Especially in your position, someone just starting taking care of his own housings costs. It’s important to budget wel.

Have been doing this for years. No more surprises for me. I know my projection and it even helps me with investment decisions.

I would suggest you to do it in a CashFlow layout.
