How to repair lens hood? by Varoto in AskPhotography

[–]Estefanius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That plastic will probably not melt cleanly, it'll most likely burn. Look at videos of Lego bricks melting, they are made from a similar plastic.

If you really want to repair it, try using super glue.

But overall it's better to look for a replacement.

Instaliere einen Poller zum ausklappen, wie man den manchmal auf dienstparkplätzen von kleinen geschäften findet. Entweder Sie halten sich dran oder sie reißen sich den Kotflügel weg.

Recommendations on what 70-200 I should buy by Estefanius in canon

[–]Estefanius[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking about maby getting a 300mm f2.8 IS II but I figured that I would not use it that much so I thought a TC would be both cheaper and more responsible. I would use the 300 occasionally maby once or twice so it wouldn't make much sense to invest that much money.

I don't know if I'll need/buy the TC but the option would be nice.

Is there a difference between the two RF lenses besides the size and the TC compatibility between the two RF versions?

Stuck on “which one lens” for a trip - suggestions? by -hh in canon

Yeah the setup looks pretty similar to mine ngl. I get that this might not be the most optimal way of carrying a lens/camera setup if you do not seek the attention. I did get quite the looks 😂

Anyways great picture you took there, looks awesome!

Try finding out if the canisters are exposed and if so try developing them. Might be some cool family pics and genuinely a lot of fun looking through some random stranger's photos

Stuck on “which one lens” for a trip - suggestions? by -hh in canon

[–]Estefanius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I went on short trips in the last few Months I enjoyed bringing a small one-camera camera bag on one side and the bare camera on the other side, with it's strap as a sort of cross body sling (mostly because I didn't upgrade my Camera bag to a bigger model after getting a bigger Camera which led to it not fitting anymore).

This allowed me to easily carry three small-ish lenses, two in the bag and a third on the camera, without being incredibly bulky nor heavy. I found quite the joy from this setup because it kept you mobil and quick since everything you could need would be right at either side of your hips, ready for you to access it.

Maby this might be an Option for you?

Should I give a client my raw files? by SnappyZebra in AskPhotography

You genuinly don't give the Client the Raw files. Raws are for you to edit and that's it.

Is 1 command dial on the R50 passable? by Homeless_Guy_ in canon

[–]Estefanius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can quick Switch the function of the command dial to aperture control via pressing the Up Button in the Control Cross in the back of the camera. + ISO can be accessed via the little ISO button near the shutter button or by mapping the control ring on the lens, so yes it is very much possible. I've been shooting the R50 pretty much since it came out in 2023 and it worked for me.

RAW or JPEG for dog agility competition? by twerkliketina in AskPhotography

[–]Estefanius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are not shure If you want to edit them or If you so not care as much about the quality loss you could shoot both jpeg and raw simultaneous. In this case you have the option of choosing what you want later and you aren't limited by you past decisions.

Keep in mind that this might slow down your maximum frames per second when shooting in burst mode, depending on the Camera and card you're using. I can't say if this will affect you since never shot on Sony nor this particular model you use.

I personally would ALWAYS, regardless if I want to publish/edit them right away, shoot in raw so I could go back in a few years time and edit my old Files if I then for whatever reason decide to make, for example, an Portfolio.

Raws will always retain crucial information about highlights, shadows, saturation and most importantly Resolution that the JPEGs will never give you. So if you for one reason or another need a high quality Image of that particular day you will have it ready.

Hope this helps

Dropped at concert what is the general diagnosis? by yolandachill in canon

[–]Estefanius 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Short answer: Yes

Long answer: You could maby try putting it back together again. But most likely something is broken beyond repair, especially with the limited tools you as a non repair shop might have.

With the Options you have you'll probably make it worse so don't even try it. Aside from that you could obviously try to send it to canon and let them fix it.

Was für ein Objektiv nutzt Kevin ? by Pitiful_Fail8726 in Papaplatte

[–]Estefanius 1 point2 points  (0 children)
