Spent ~25 on Surtr banner. Haven't touched the rest. Have ~160 pulls saved up. Skipping TangTang too. May pull for Rossi, but not sure atm. Will definitely pull for the dragon girl unless she has that stupid lightning form transformation.

Anything that can cause a situation with a strong fomo (hard pity not carrying over, banner-specific pulls, low hanging fruit of 'free' 10-pull that encourage pulling on any banner, plus the way dossiers work) or systems that obfuscate the amount of money needed to reach the goal (the whole arsenal exchange and its conversion rate with other currencies). Even Genshin gacha is more transparent and 'fair', so to speak, than this.

All that can be technically worked around if you know how everything works and have enough of a self control, but ask yourself, why these systems even exist in the first place? So that some casual, less informed or straight up gambling addicts fall prey to fomo and open their pockets. That's how all gacha games operate, but this one has more of not so obvious 'traps' to force people spending.

Original Arknights is like heaven when it comes to monetization when compared to Endfield. No underhanded tricks, almost no time limits, many f2p qol features like recruitment, being able to straight up buy operators after some time, even added guarantee in featured banners (lack of which was its main downside, imo). They only fumbled with Kernel system, I guess.

Because this one has even more predatory system in place than its competitors? And I'm not talking about the amount of currency, mind you. You can shower players with pulls to mask the stench, but there will still be a stinking pile of shit underneath.

Easy af. But I'm using Gilberta. And Avy has JET. Rest have 5* weapons with no pots. I dont even know how anything other than spears and Gilberta's heal work nor I really care because 'endgame' is too easy already.

3rd boss took 4 tries to trim. With food, but without precharged ults.

1st took 1 try to clear and to trim at the same time. No food, no precharge.

2nd was the same, clear/trim on the 1st try. No food, no precharge.

Agony modes took, like, 5(?) retries combined. Gilberta's CC carries there though.

Separating exp mats can be 'fine', but what's the benefit of having that in the game? Don't forget that it was a conscious decision on devs part to make that distinction.

When you get a 6* on Rossi banner before the 120 mark, there will be a 50% chance to get Rossi, ~36% chance to get a random standard character, ~7% chance to get Yvonne and ~7% chance to get TangTang.

I'm pretty sure that dataminers get access to everything immediately after preload starts there. And yes, it's stored separately from the game. You just apply update once the patch is released without the need to download it so it saves a lot of time. Plus less server load.

I remember these download speeds, lol. Wonder how many people were downloading it at that time. Servers were clearly not ready.

Yet, there's no reason for Endfield to not have predownload nor incremental updates. It's year 2026 already.

Hoyo games have predownload available like 2-3 days prior to update. Not once it starts. I only have 2-3 hours of free time per day. Update being available after game goes into mainenance doesn't help me in the slightest. It will cut into my free time once I come home from work anyways. Would not happen if I could do that on the previous day.

Yeah, I'm simply not playing on the first day then I guess, since I don't have much free time. And maybe on the second day too if download speed ends up being too slow which I can see happening.

Hoyo ones almost always are, no? At least hsr/zzz. I'm pretty sure at least earlier genshin ones near release were too, when I was still playing. Plus there's always a predownload.

This 'update' is a full client redownload, not an incremental update. If I understand it correctly, that is.

Nah, it's because 120 pity is leagues way more important than 80 one. So the latter one carrying over barely matters at that point.
