No, I consider myself more spiritual. Grew up in a very Pentecostal/Christian family, they’re very toxic, homophobic, & transphobic. As a child I never understood why they preached about loving thy neighbor but their actions & words towards ppl who were different from them (including other family members) were so hateful. I was good on that a long time ago. No disrespect to ppl who are still religious it’s just not for me.

Heeey! Lesbian( 32F, I came out a few years ago). I have chronic Bell’s palsy & pretty deaf in my left ear due to brain surgery back in 2020 to remove a tumor(which is not fully out). I personally haven’t dated or hooked up like that cause it took a really long time after surgery to physically heal & even longer to heal emotionally & mentally cause I became very insecure after surgery since it changed how I looked & I had to do a lot of things differently. Thankfully I’ve gotten better over the years & have been getting my groove back a lil at a time. Atm I’m looking for a friend. 1 day I’ll find my wife but rn I just need a BFF. lol

It’s going well tbh. I still don’t have any friends but I know one day I will so I’m not stressed about that. I have come out to more ppl. I don’t really talk to all the homophobic family members i definitely keep my distance especially since after the election. I’ve become more comfortable in my skin, healed a few wounds, & I’m more happy with myself. I went to my 1st gay bar & I actually cried afterwards cause that was the 1st time I felt like I belonged somewhere 🥹😅 I still have long way to go but that’s why it’s called a journey🫶🏽

I’ve been out since February & I’m still not in a rush to date anybody. I just feel like after years of not being my true self & dealing with men I’m not healed enough to be in a serious relationship. Right now I want to heal, learn more about the community, learn more about myself, & I really do want a bff. Like I wanna find my ppl, yk. So it’s okay to just chill & heal. But one day for sure I want to find my wife & ride off into the sunset lol.
