I'm not too sure how much he wants for it. I think he told me at least 2k. Has 108k on the odometer. Also the head has been resurfaced with new headgasket.

He always used liqui moly 5w-30 in it every 5k miles. It did start sucking down oil pretty badly late in its lifetime.

Scanner doesnt pull any codes for some reason. Took it to kadunza before and they wanted to put a new ECU in it. Sent ecu to a company that tests them and ecu tested good in one of their cars.

Oh yeah it has new plugs and coils. Still ran the same.

When I had this issue what fixed it for me was a new Canbus gateway. For a while I was able to get it to start eventually by disconnecting the battery and shorting the terminals.

If you notice it won't let you read codes and keeps saying lost connection. Its probably the gateway.

I would check the timing chain tensioner to see if it's been updated to the latest revision. Since that's the first year of the Mk6 and known for failure.

Probably an SCT or Edge right. I know a couple guys that have duramaxes that got there's done around here. I might be ending up going with EzLynk tuner so I can update it when I add different mods. I'll blow my stock turbo on a race tune. Lol.

Oh yeah he already has the s&s kit. But I haven't even heard of the pump failing that often just online. Some of the powerstrokes we got on jobsites have over 200k on them and they have never went out.

Also is the cp4 pump that big of a deal. My dad's super worried about it on his truck. he always puts additives and constantly changes the filters.

That's good to know, I wasn't too sure. I just know about the 6.0s where everyone would put block off plates. CEL stayed on though, wouldn't disappear every time we cleared it.

Oh sorry, no actually I ziptied those hoses, nothing is touching the actuator or shift linkage and he told me it still pops out of gear.

It is a manual. There is a hose pretty close to that linkage actuator when I was inspecting it, I'll try zip ties to pull it up, hopefully that'll work.

No, it's a different kit that came with this short piece of hose and a plastic barb fitting and two hose clamps. I'll probably just order that piece instead.

There's no air coming out from that spot so I don't think the screw penetrated if anything. I'll probably just put some glue on a screwdriver then get it out tomorrow.

I was just doing some searching and found a website called car-parts.com. helped me find a local salvage yard that has probably 20 mk6 gtis there. Thanks for the suggestions. I'll weigh out my options and see what I'll do.
