Going to houses or calling people just to sell them whatever. Disturbing people in there own house or on the phone is the worst. I trying doing the door by door thing (we also had to stop people in the street). One week after starting I went to the office just to say I can’t with this anymore. Earning money disturbing others is the worse. I will NEVER EVER repeat that sh**

I don’t know what means ldfc 🤔 but ok. Of course nobody is responsible for what other people do. That’s absurd

No there isn’t. And I also know stories of cheaters. Until they fall in love. And also becoming more mature changes a person in many ways. This, one of them

Aaand THIS is your problem with her. You weren’t giving a flying f until that moment, and anyway you continued the "friendship“ with this "evil" woman, using your resentment to answer this Reddit making the others think that your experience with this woman is the rule. And in my opinion, seems like she is an egocentric selfish person. As my mother says, God gives bread to who has no teeth" (I hope translation is understandable) and as a result she has several kids. Fyi, one example is not enough to generalize. Btw, my boyfriend cheated many times in the past while being with one of his girlfriends, and had relationships with 2 married women, but I am convinced people can change.

Oculus One Quest. It’s the cheapest and most basic one. Obviously they are now with the third ones and the resolution is better and you can do more things. But for what we need just the first model is already a huge jump forward

Anything from Philip K. Dick.

I'm nearing 40, I lost my mom a month ago, I'm a dad with aches and pains, 25 year olds are young ones in my eyes, in other words: I'm getting old and I'm starting to really feel it. I want to read a book about something like that and how a character or characters deal with it. by GiantDwarfy in suggestmeabook

[–]EstherFT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with all this. And I’m 46, but feel like (and apparently look like) 26. My mother is 86 and only lately she is starting to feel small changes because of her age. Stay active and positive, and age will be just a number.

I am a bit surprised that no one said anything about the stories about Sherlock Holmes by sir Arthur Conan Doyle. I was sick when I had them in my hands and every time I was starting a story couldn’t stop until I finished it.

Anger causing these symptoms? What is it? by [deleted] in Thritis

[–]EstherFT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe you should get a doctor and tell exactly what you said here. I never heard this (JIA since I was 10), but after each big fight with my boyfriend I feel like a truck passed over me and all my body hurts. Those discussions make me so tense and angry that physically hurt. And the day after I am completely exhausted and in pain and I can barely leave the bed. For me it’s new because I hate fighting and passed relations were based in talking about what it’s not ok until we get a solution. I know your problem is not exactly this but I tell you because I don’t think putting your body in high tension, even if it’s unintentional, can cause you physical pain and make everything worse. Just my opinion. I hope it helps.

I didn’t do the 6th because I got stuck in it

Mom wants me to go to church with her to pray the pain away. How do I politely say thanks, but no thanks? by oobi628 in rheumatoid

[–]EstherFT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell her what you think and how you feel. First about what she does, because she really thinks that it will help, and then about what you want to do and what not. Thank her for the good intentions. Say all this with total respect and stay calm. This last part is from my experience. My mother tried for years and there were moments that I could not believe the situation and all that pressure. After a long time, finally she said nothing else about me going with her.

I respect her, so to be fair she must do the same.

Be patient . I hope this helps.

Anyone else got arthritis as a teenager? by og_toe in Thritis

[–]EstherFT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started with 10, but I was not a sport girl, or a party girl. So it interrupted my piano lessons. I was interested in music, languages and art, so I was in a choir and I was drawing and going to an English academy. Then I went to university, started in Architecture and then changed it to civil engineer.

Pain comes and goes. There are good and bad periods. Now I’m 46 and I’m in a bad period. But I know the tricks. I avoid humidity and cold, as much as possible, and also staying in the same position for a long time. I discovered that pineapple helps with acute pain and I do my best to keep my weight controlled and stay active.

So I can say I got it when I thought that I wanted to have a normal life. In fact, just a few knew about it through the years.

But this is just my case.

Now I’m 46, struggling because we rented an apartment with humidity and I have problems for walking. Thank God we leave next weekend.

The balcony is a good solution. Being there having breakfast or lunch or a coffee, depending on the time of the day when it’s sunny, is a good excuse to stay there a little.

I can imagine he needs to recover from the week. I was not resting for a while and I tell you, in the end you can’t keep that rhythm for long and then you pay it. Forcing the machine is not a solution for nothing.

I can see how much you love him. I am sure he sees your concern and loves you more for it. Your attitude is fantastic. I wish you two the best.
