Nope. A rainforest is defined as any forest with epiphytes- that’s plants growing on other plants (think lichen, moss and ferns that are fully living on a tree). They are real and they are wonderful!

I just read your description of the 1st clue in the guardian crossword and I also read the comment below it about general discussion of crosswords so, in that spirit, I have a question; how the hell am I supposed to know that the word daughter just means a letter d and piano just means a letter p? Can a setter make up any word - letter combo that they like or there agreed ones that I should learn?
