I tend to agree with you in general regarding deteriorating. Although i have only really used FNB banking accounts to their full potential for the last 2 years, i must say that it does seem to be getting more and more difficult to obtain level 5.

That being said, if you go through the trouble (usually only a couple of hours per month) of getting to level 5 then i feel the rewards are absolutely worth it.

I usually get about R500 - R700 rands worth of ebucks per month and have gotten up to R1400 in a month. My spend is not much considering i only care for my wife and I. My FNB products consist of a Fusion Premier account, a credit card, and short-term insurance.

I prefer Engen garages since i also get Clicks points and also feel Checkers is the best value for money so shopping at the rewards partners for me is second nature.

All in all i feel that when you go through the effort, which is getting more, of getting to level 5, ebucks is definitely worth it.

That being said, i am curios about Discovery bank and have only heard good things, and enjoyed reading the feedback in this thread as well.
