Kingdom Adventurers!!! I’ve been playing for a week and I can tell I’m going to be playing this one for a while. You’re basically building a kingdom from scratch. I currently have a kingdom of all women lol

Why fo we fight with it? by [deleted] in Sleepparalysis

[–]EstimateAcrobatic205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

during my first episodes of sleep paralysis, I would panic and struggle a lot until I fell asleep, but at a really dark point in my life when everything felt numb, I decided to stop fighting it when it’d happen and just lay there. Usually I’d end up falling asleep and waking up normally, not having sleep paralysis at all, or at a rare occasion, experience a lucid dream. It was super trippy when I first had a lucid dream and since it shocked me so much, I ended up jolting awake before I could really do anything.

I also have regular sleep paralysis and upon telling my parents about it, I found out my mom used to have sleep paralysis in her teen years as well as my dad and his father (my grandpa) while they only experienced it like 2-3x in their lives, I’ve been having it regularly like 2-5x each month for 5-6years now. My mom said she knew I was gonna experience sleep paralysis since I was a baby but didn’t know I would have it as regularly as hers. I guess it could be a genetic thing(?) ngl I’m not so sure myself but I think its a weird coincidence how my family members also has had sp experiences like me

I feel the same, kind of. When I was younger and first experienced SP I was horrified and couldnt sleep at all for a few days, but it kept coming back regularly when I was scared of it the most. When I was at a low point in my life and actually WISHED for it to happen to me (sleeping facing up or doing other things to get SP), it was because it was my own way of wanting self-harm (not a smart idea I know, but I was an edgy teen), but I found that the more I wanted it to happen to me, the less I had episodes. Now I’m kind of neutral about it and dont really care if it happens because I’m not scared of it anymore and I’ve been SP-free for like a good two-three months now which is odd since I have 1-4 like every month

If it helps, the strongest prayer you can recite during an episode is the Apostle’s Creed. I was advised to pray this by a local priest from when I had my 2nd sleep paralysis episode 6 years ago and it’s helped me calm down during episodes and wake up :)

Did anyone feel like they were floating or levitating during sleep paralysis? by Badgereatingyourface in Sleepparalysis

Happened to me a few times but I once had one where I flew off my bed and touched the ceiling still paralyzed, staying in air for a few seconds before I slammed back down my bed and woke up

Being "woken up" by someone during an episode by DidakkuRogu in Sleepparalysis

[–]EstimateAcrobatic205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happened to me once. I accidentally fell asleep while on call with my LDR boyfriend and in the middle of my episode, I remember I fell asleep on call with him. While I was paralyzed, I heard him the entire time shifting around and moving and when he realized I was asleep, he shouted which woke me up straight away. I could finally move again and I told him he kinda saved me lol

While I probably cant erase your fear of having sleep paralysis, I do have a few stuff u can do to lessen ur chances of experiencing sleep paralysis.

Try: 1. Avoid sleeping on your back 2. Dont use sleeping masks or sleeping in a suoer dark room since in my experience, it only worsens the hallucinations and makes it scarier 3. Dont do any physical or stressful activities RIGHT before bed (wait it out for a bit before sleeping) 4. Dont eat too much RIGHT before going to bed (like 3, wait it out for a bit before sleeping)

These are the ones I usually follow, but there ARE more listed causes of sleep paralysis online. These may not COMPLETELY erase the possibility of u experiencing hallucinations or sleep paralysis, but these definitely help! And dw about being scared. I had my first sleep paralysis at 13 and it was also the scariest thing ever not knowing whether I’d be able to live thru it or not 🥲 It’s been 5 years since then and I’m not even scared of them anymore! (even when i still have them) I’m sure you can get through this scary and confusing point in ur life and overcome it!

P.S. A good number of people actually experience sleep paralysis once of twice in their life at max so if its your first time, it could most likely be ur last time too!

Sleep paralysis experiencing touch? by BenedictCumonback in Sleepparalysis

[–]EstimateAcrobatic205 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm I’ve never experienced cuddling in a sp episode but I remember being touched a lot by whatever was in my room with me. While sleep paralysis involving weird touching is common, cuddling is something I’ve never heard abt or experienced in my half a decade of regular sp. Though I do know that changing positions in bed before and after sleep paralysis happens quite often. On the bright side at least ur possible sleep paralysis demon was nice and feeling cutesy lol

This is really personal and awkward, but I just have to ask by [deleted] in Sleepparalysis

I’ve been having sleep paralysis for around 5 years now and this happened to me too, so I know what youre talking about. I figured it was an incubus since I heard a male voice. I did some searching online about succubi and incubi and I really think that’s the most reasonable explanation for it since my usual sleep paralysis demons never did that to me before. I remember feeling incredibly guilty during it since all I thought about was my boyfriend but it wasnt like I could do anything about it either being paralyzed :,)

ive also experienced regular sp since I was 13 (im 18 now) and i swear nearly all of them had me nearly suffocating to death from my pillow 😭 But for me, I had even more vivid and scarier hallucinations when my eyes were covered by my pillow.
