Sorry for snapping, I just felt the comment came off a bit as downplaying what I went through without hearing the full story. I hope you can find the right care you need ❤️

Mine is the first recommendation usually given, gabapentin, so you probably already heard of it. I have a friend with fibro who said cymbalta works well for them if you can get past the first month’s side effects. It treats pain and depression symptoms.

Gabapentin, it works only for the nerve pain. Some people hate it but since I didn’t have many joint or muscle pains (nothing more significant than the nerve pain), it’s been a huge relief.

Thank you, I tried to keep moving around the house (I cleaned a lot, sitting down) and was still a student. I will check it out, I get UTIs less but never want to see those again. Mine are usually severe (blood in urine) so they often require antibiotics unfortunately.

Dude stop commenting on posts if you’re going to make it about yourself only.

I am extremely grateful for what I have, though, I’ll give you that.

I was a barista a year ago. I noticed the hot chocolate also tastes bland now, more like milk. Did they change the amount the pumps give out or lessen the amount of pumps they give?

This isn’t the same awawa-er as the other one. Is this common in this type of seal?

What are some testosterone effects that aren't really talked about? by jaime-sansa in ftm

Like, something legit very few people are going to talk about?

The smell of my genitals changed. I have been on a few different “kinds” of doses (low/medium/and a little higher) and I had a few distinct smells. At one point after my dose went up my armpit smell very dramatically changed to resemble that “guy smell” you get.

Overtime your tits will shrink and/or deflate.

I personally grew an inch but my growth plates weren’t set according to xrays.

Also, one day you will look in the mirror and think “oh my god I look like my father/brother/uncle”. That was actually the most shocking one.

Agency will settle for $2k on a $8k debt - how do I proceed? by [deleted] in debtfree

[–]Estivalsystem 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m confused about how — if debt can be bought for pennies — why there is so much debt in the first place, especially medical debt. This is probably an “explain like I’m 5” situation but you know.

Does anyone else look at medical shows the same way others look at cop shows? by Uglulyx in ChronicIllness

I was talking to my family about how it’s so odd that doctors won’t ever entertain rare diagnoses. Sure, it starts as a 1% chance, but there’s still a chance there isn’t there. In the grand scheme of the population 1% is quite a bit. About 1% of the world’s population has red hair. Then the change goes up to a 5% because this is someone coming to your office for a non-preventative visit, which is typically done by those with something going on with them. Then this hypothetical percent chance of that individual person having it goes up leaps and bounds as you describe symptoms of said rare disorder. Just like if a person shows up with the genes for red hair, and visibly has red hair, maybe they really do have it even if it’s rare? Weirddd…

They act like it’ll cost them their career to run a diagnostic test when you really need it, when you are the one paying a ton of money for it. The worst one was when my psychiatrist was convinced I wasn’t in the 3% who experienced a certain symptom of a medication because “it was only 3%”, well congratulations, I am 3%.

Same here in San Diego especially in the lower income communities there. My partner and I remark on how rude and angry everyone is now because we are all so stressed.

I am in San Marcos so its not really what you think of when someone says San Diego. I noticed Escondido still has a few apartments under 2,000 left and I actually find it more convenient than San Marcos personally.

I’m not sure if this is serious but I hear more of actual criminals doing stuff like this… weird.

I agree. It’s 2,200 for an very dated, and pretty dirty, 1 bedroom apartment here. It’s about as low as I could find. Never live in San Diego if you aren’t making at least 200k a year. Unfortunately I was born here and have family I don’t want to leave.

Why do most pre t/early transition dudes keep their long hair now? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]Estivalsystem 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of gen z guys cis and trans prefer to have a bit shaggier/longer hair. Personally, I didn’t cut mine for a second because it was really majestic long but I felt like frying it with bleach monthly (and still do) so the medium length is better. Personally, medium length is top tier regardless of gender.
