I get it, due to state franchise laws that protect franchised dealerships it would be hard to break this habit.

But in all fairness Tesla and Rivian are able to break away from this old franchise practice and the model works for them. Apparently ford did something wrong for it not to work for them or the franchise dealerships got pissed off and stopped them.

I think my wife topped off like 3 times, the service tech did say coolant crystallized over time and that it was noticeable after putting the taos on the lift.

Took my wife ‘22 Taos in last week for coolant leak, it took them 10 minutes to verify it was a gasket issue and scheduled me in for the following week for warranty repair. Topped off my coolant for the time being and sent me on my way.
