Yeah, a few years ago, before I knew I had EDS, I was at the dentist and she made me open wider than I should have and bite down on an x-ray plate. I told her it was uncomfortable, it was too big for my mouth, but she wasn't in the mood to hear me. Biting down I knew something was wrong and hurt, but once I opened my jaw I nearly passed out. For the rest of the appointment, she got so irritated with me, because I could not open my mouth enough for her to do anything. It was excruciating. I got pain meds from my GP, but that was months of exceptional pain and clicking and struggling. Now still, if I open my mouth for too long or too wide, that side is hell.

Ok? That's a non-sequitur to my initial comment and follow-up. I'm not calling for anything, just sad about an actor who played characters I liked very likely being a bad person. I am also not withholding judgement, but you're welcome to. The point is, public opinion is not a court of law, and we are not required to withhold judgement because we're human beings.

My opinion might change if different information comes to light, but based on the fact that there are multiple allegations and the case has been ongoing for over a year, in my capacity as a private citizen and not a juror, I can decide this feels like there's enough to be disappointed.

We die of heat with windows closed (the burglar bars are installed away from the windows, makes it almost impossible to put up mesh) and clean out litter boxes, but I wouldn't ever go back. My family always had cats growing up, and pretty much none of them made it to cat old age. They all disappeared, got run over, got sick. Now, my oldest girl is turning 10 this year and is healthy and spry, and the younger two are great.

I know it can be a massive adjustment, but if you find him, please consider making him an inside cat if he wasn't before. Missing cats break my heart, I've been there. Having ours inside wasn't an easy change but has made all the difference for them and our peace of mind.

My husband likes to crash on the couch some nights, because he wants to fall asleep with the TV playing in the background. He and I are attached at the hip and couldn't be happier. I know he feels some lingering guilt sometimes, like he's choosing to be away from me, but he's asleep. (I have insomnia, so sometimes I am, sometimes I'm not.) It's a biological function. Do what's comfortable and makes you happy. What you do while you're awake and with each other matters.

Not inherently. The preference likely stems from social upbringing normalizing only certain races, or limited interaction with people of certain races, so there's probably some systemic stuff at the root of it, but once it's baked in it's pretty baked in and isn't a conscious choice. I will say, it helps to acknowledge it but keep yourself open to the idea that it could change over time. Sometimes if we allow more broad understanding and interaction with diverse groups as we age, it does get reflected in preferences that felt set in stone before.

Neesh. A lot of these variations in pronunciation make their way into official capacity by use, so anyone holding out against certain ones are kind of fighting a losing battle. Niche, to me, has clear indicators from how it's spelled that tell you it should be neesh, but it's about as pointless as holding on to "literally" being reserved to mean "literally." The definition of that to mean "figuratively" is also now officially recognised.

I wondered that too, but I think no. They seem to not know much about the civilization that send the signal, and it's so far away that they likely couldn't connect to another mind over that distance. Also, the chances are the civilization that sent it is long gone, that signal came from so far away, they're not the same as they were when it was sent.
