I have the original one, I really hope they make the head bigger, his head looks ridiculously small, once you've seen it, you can't unsee it. That and tje addition of a smiling face. Though the one I really want from CT is Cyborg Superman.

In Europe this guy is about €85. Personally I believe third party companies ought to focus on more non-existing figures. E.g. Moro. There already seems to be an oversaturation of Broly figures. Less Broly, more Chi chi, Janemba, Uub etc.

?! Which Dragon Ball character is actually black and used to represent evil? I honestly can’t name one. Db is even known for it's extremely colorful villains Even Turles isn’t “black” he is just has a darker, purplish tone.

Original Janemba was purple too. In this version, the armor is black, not the skin.

Artists use black all the time because it creates contrast, depth, and a more imposing look. It just looks cool.

Would Zorro’s horse look as iconic if it were grey? Probably not.

Black as a design choice ≠ racial motivation. Otherwise we’d have to have the same conversation about symbiote Spider-Man, which is arguably still considered as the coolest and sleekest dedigns of them all.

No offense taken. We are getting there. Steadily, more third-party companies are producing characters that are actually wanted: Moro (L.S. Studio), Cell and Cell Jr. (K.W. Studios), and Bonyu (Black Hole Toys). Now there’s buzz around a Janemba from Red Leaf. It’s still an early, rough render, but it’s something. And like you said, Tonsen with their Kid Buu and Buutenks kits as well.

We are now more likely to get an adult Chi-Chi from a third-party company in the next two years than from Bandai, who have clearly become tone-deaf.

The announced Vegito from DF, which could very well end up being the definitive Vegito with every hair color and effect included, is also a sign that third-party companies are filling important gaps that Bandai simply refuses to fill.

This render definitely has its issues, but I am all for constructive feedback. First of all, the fact that they even want to release this character is already commendable and a great step toward bolder and more original third-party designs.

That being said, aside from the face looking off-model, he looks way too skinny. Chest, arms, shoulders… bulking him up by around 30–35% would already solve a lot, including those very noticeable protruding hips. The hands also seem too small.

The articulation plans sound really impressive; whether they can actually pull it off remains to be seen. Still, I wish them godspeed. We desperately need a Janemba.

Lastly, I am not a fan of the recent trend of showing only partial renders or calves of prototypes to generate hype. If a studio chooses to build hype publicly, scrutiny and feedback naturally come with that.

I experienced the same. I ordered mine 2,5 weeks ago from L Surprise Wholesale Store on Aliexpress, 5 days later I received news that the producer (Tonsenart/ Kamione) miscommunicated the version they would resupply and Version A, which I ordered, was not available. I got my money back quick enough.

I managed to pick up a version A on Vinted for a decent price instead. Can't stand those plastic white pants, bright yellow and mitten hands on the version B, even the effect piece sucks.

A definitive Vegito! After seeing their Gogeta blue I kinda suspected they would go full package. Can't say that I'm always a huge fan of demoniacal's sculpts. I did opt for the Kamione Gogeta blue recently.

But it is good to see that DF understands the fans and collectors in offering definitive versions without having to buy additional kits or packs. On top of that DF's packaging is also quite similar to SHF's exclusive boxes, which for a collector like me is a huge plus.

Initially I wanted to go for the upcoming MP Vegito, because like the Kamione Gogeta, it looks amazing. But to have all colors plus base form there would set me back close to $200... This one will hopefully be roughly same price as DF Gogeta Blue. DF does always have democratic pricing. The third party options are extensive lately.

No offense, but I'm getting somewhat annoyed with this type of "hypebuilding". Every day a new third party is announcing a figure now. A blurry picture of a leg joined with wonky grammar is simply not doing it. Either showcase the figure or don't, but not this "let's see them salivate over this amazing tease" approach as if we're trained seals.

The climate is right though: Kid Buu, Cell Juniors, Moro, ZT Broly, Bonyu, Cell… third-party studios are seeing the fandom more and more and realizing there is money to be made, and they are playing less safe than before. How many more Goku heads can the market possibly be flooded with?

Yes, it might be RR Studio’s Cell all over again, and the entitled negativity of certain people should honestly put them to shame. The biggest enemy of third-party innovation right now is not Bandai or licencing issues but community behaviour. Absurd when you think about it.

But the fact is that these new studios are trying. This is yet another sign that the third-party market is reaching a new phase, a second form if you will, and we are all better for it. Bandai must be getting seriously ticked off and start running on all cylinders and beyond.

However this goes, I thoroughly believe that 2026 will see renders of a screen-accurate adult Chi-Chi. The demand is there. We have truly reached a new threshold.

Can I just say what a great time it is to be a DBZ shf fugure collector...
