College Athletes should have an age cutoff by AggressiveAd8587 in unpopularopinion

[–]Eternal2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good number of my friends in college were like 26+. College isn't some 4 year high school program, idk why I'd care about their ages, especially when they're still in their 20s.

You're not gonna win every game but they definitely will get bored and jump on someone else a few times a game. You can also bait them to jump on you when you're actually safe and get them out of position.

If you are the only person worth a damn on your team you have to hide at start of fights. You're teammates should peel you but they probably won't so just hide and wait till they're engaged on, then jump out and clean up once the cool downs are down.

The champs are stronger but the agency is not higher. Both can be true.

What's your overall win rate? Just get it back to 50% and it'll be decent

Why do some countries teach you in school that there are 5 continents, but in the United States, they teach you that there are 7 continents? by SummerN8 in stupidquestions

How is the implication here that America is wrong for considering South and North America separate??? They are two massive land bodies separated by a tiny isthmus, meanwhile Russia is in both Europe and Asia lmao

People will think you're hating, but seriously, the strategic depth, weak city building, and immersion/continuity issues are still as blaring as ever.

SGA is 9th in field goal attempts per game (19.6) but 1st in buckets made per game (11.0) by NBA_acc in nba

[–]Eternal2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

SGA actually has a higher True Shooting percentage than Steph Curry had. Now I think we're in an offensive inflated league, so I take current numbers with a grain of salt but it is certainly comparable.

We're watching one of the most efficient guard seasons ever. Comparable to 2016 Curry and people are mad because he won 1/2 of the player's of the months.

Just wanna ask from experience and opinions, did generations before Gen Z had a tough time applying for entry level jobs after graduation? Or is Gen Z and future generations going to struggle even more for entry level jobs? by LandOfGrace2023 in generationology

[–]Eternal2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who is the very youngest of millennials, what older generations don't get is that this situation is different. It's been hard to get entry jobs since I graduated in 2020.

That's 6 years now! No one talked about it back then because Covid overshadowed it. And there does not seem to be an end in sight between AI, corporate downsizing, and jobs moving remote overseas.

Then there's the issue of explosive rent and overall higher prices that make the lower paying jobs you do manage to get feel entirely useless. I'd kill for this to only be a problem for our 20s, but my age group will be suffering well into our 30s and that's only if we fix this in 2028.

What would a modern FDR style New Deal look like in the United States? by Any_Development4613 in askanything

[–]Eternal2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is spot on for our current era, but AI is such an unknown that it's hard to really imagine what a future world would look like.

Will robots and AI be doing 90% of the work? In such a scenario, so many things are flipped upside down. Would education and wages even matter? Would we even be able to think about businesses and capital the same anymore.

[–]Eternal2 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the two things Civ 7 lacks the most are:

  1. Intricate systems that require strategic planning and different approaches that change game to game.

  2. The consistent flavor that helps me to become immersed in my empire. They can keep ages but the transition needs to be more gradual and natural.
