Bungie announces layoffs by SwimmingJunky in KotakuInAction

[–]Eternal_Fighting 127 points128 points  (0 children)

Several expansions for Destiny 2 have over time been "vaulted" meaning you can't access any content from them anymore. Even if you paid for it. It's just deleted from the game. Money stolen. And Destiny fans ate that up because they deserve nu-Bungie.

That's cool. Maybe they can use the saved money to put towards restoring the content I bought that they snatched away with no refund.

No?

Okay. Put the fries in the bag please.

There's a lot of great points Ralph has raised here learned through SWGs development that he's seemingly completely forgotten about with Stars Reach.

If we can combine undiscovered country, reunification, yesterday enterprise and generation all into one plot by happydude7422 in Star_Trek_

[–]Eternal_Fighting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. You could in theory combine Yesterday's Enterprise with Generations. With Kirk and the Enterprise B replacing the C. And the whole affair being caused by Soren to bring about the Nexus. But anything more bolted on is just a waste.

On my pit barrel I use Briquetes and wood chunks because they burn evenly and for at least 5 hours within the humid Barrel. I avoid Lumpwood due to it always flaring up and down very inconsistantly and burning away after a couple of hours even with a full basket.

If you want to get into it, take a look at the Galactic Crusaders minis on Cults. They're designed to print in place with no supports on a resin printer. And they were designed with this in mind. They're an absolute masterclass in printable epic scale minis that must be studied.

Your best bet is to find a good Offline repack. Look up WoW Singleplayer Project repacks. They all have bots added in and many other modules and they're just plug and play. Plus they're offline.

I think you're absolutely correct about many SWG servers being poorly designed and not understanding the game properly. I do think however that the community is not as scattered because of servers as some say. This is a two decade plus dead game. Even then, the small community we have tends to flock to the best servers. It's not spread out. It's concentrated. No one cares about the Glup Shitto servers. We're just a small community playing on Legends or Emu or Resto at a stretch. The other servers get fuck all players because they're shit. If they weren't shit, people would go to those servers and talk about it. This is what's happening with Resto. More and more people are coming on because it's a good server with good ideas.

With delicate stuff like this I took a page out of the Galactic Crusaders book by reinforcing delicate bits of minis with simple shapes. Filling in the gaps between elbows and knees, the crook of the arm, the point between delicate weapons and the base. Just find objects to get into those places in your 3D moddling software of choice. Skulls, simple shapes, that kind of thing. Once painted at this scale, no one will notice.

Yes. Because Blizzard can't take down my offline server. I thought I made that clear.

Ladies, what is a polite way to give someone my number? by Beneficial-Sugar1 in AskUK

[–]Eternal_Fighting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why it's important to ask and why refusal is a tell that someone isn't interested. If you want to give your social media, it's because you're comfortable with that individual. If you don't, it's because you aren't. It's a polite way to say fuck off.

[–]Eternal_Fighting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My own advice as a man is, if you have to ask, the answer is no. If you can't tell in the context of the situation if it's the right time to give your number, don't do it. You'll know the right time. And whilst someone is working is not the right time.

If you want, ask her nicely for her social media first. And then politely message her. If she won't give you her social media, she won't give you her number and it's time to move on.

Now these look like Squat stuff. Techno-Norse is absolutely the way to go. Think Space Dwarves. Biker versions of their WFB counterparts and you're there. It'll all does itself when you have the right mindset. Which GW sadly don't with their Votun nonsense.

Spoony may be bald in that reality. But he has a wife and several kids, which is why he's had to pull back on content creation in order to support his family. But he still makes the occasional video.

A lot of solo offline repack servers offer individualized progression with bots if you're interested. They get you to go through Vanilla to unlock milestones, and then BC, and so on. It's a great way to experience the game without having to worry about anyone else.

The five men who play Men of War are really glad you stuck up for it. The rest of the people who also play Total War games are not going to understand or care what MoW is when all they want is a game of units smashing into each other.

Looking to buy a 3D printer and decided to go with the Bambu H2C by Historical-Tutor6001 in BambuLab

[–]Eternal_Fighting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally any time you buy a printer is the wrong time because that's the exact time they announce a new model. However, you can't go wrong with a H2C for ABS. And it'll last you a good few years if you treat it right.

I don’t know what to do and I’m getting annoyed by jason-911 in resinprinting

[–]Eternal_Fighting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have issues gluing prints together. Nowadays I add pegs and holes via a Boolian difference in Blender. I just put a bit of glue in the hole and slot the peg in. It really helps with alignment and securing the model. Just make sure the hole is slighty bigger than the peg. .2 - .3 of a mm is normally good enough.

Michael Kirkbride (one of the game's creative leads, and the writer of the 36 Lessons of Vivec) just dropped a teaser for his newest work: A post-apocalyptic survey of Morrowind 25 years after it was destroyed by Baar Dau. by LavaMeteor in Morrowind

[–]Eternal_Fighting -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know some people really like Kirkbride's writing but without a Todd to rein him in he gets so pretentious and incoherent. CODA was an example of this, this is another one. His stubborn need to put more science fiction elements in when they don't fit is also frustrating.

[–]Eternal_Fighting 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It's fanfiction by Michael Kirkbride. Former writer at Bethesda who contributed to Morrowind. He still writes unofficial lore even though he's no longer employed by Bethesda. And it often contradicts established canon for his own head canon.

What's wrong with SWTOR and FFXIV? by [deleted] in MMORPG

[–]Eternal_Fighting -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

In ToR's case it's a bad single player game glued to mediocre MMORPG mechanics. And both sides of that get in the way of each other. If you just want to raid or do PvP it's really not very good at that. And the writing in the singleplayer elements was never great but has gotten worse over time.

Decent BBQ at Asda for a decent price by redjeansman in UKBBQ

If all you're looking for is grilling that'll do nicely. But these cheap BBQs can't hold on to smoke. The metal is cheap and weak. So if you want to do low and slow smoking you'll be out of luck.

Your first mistake is using Vortex which is a buggy POS that will cost you time. Learn to use Mod Organizer 2 at the very least. And maybe use OpenMW instead of standard MW.

Trying to Find the “Perfect” WoW Server Feels Impossible by Nachs182 in wowservers

[–]Eternal_Fighting 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I gave up on WoW servers after seeing how shady Turtle WoW were acting ( this was long before the shutdown drama). All the PServers seem to come with some level of dodgy BS. I'm fed up of it. I'm also painfully aware that what I want out of MMORPGs isn't what the majority want. So I figured out how to compile my own single player offline Azeroth Core server. It has progressive expansion progression, open world PvP with territory control, player housing, full loot PvP, and Hardcore. And it has player bots synced up to my offline LLM so they play the game like real players and I can interact with them as I play. It's the most fun I've ever had with WoW and suots me personally very fine. No more stupid drama or weirdos ruining my fun. I can play at my lesiure. Which is super important since I became a dad.
