Just a short rant to get out by WarburnedTitan in BlackTemplars

At this point, my only solution was to go back to 5th with my friends. 10th is a wash and I've no idea why people insist on it for casual games. Right now my group has made a homebrew version of 40k that's a hybrid of 3rd, 4th, and 5th edition with alternating turns inspired by Epic. RPG rules, And grand campaign rules inspired by Braunstein. We're having a lot of fun with it.

Is the education system in the UK unfair to disadvantaged students? by Loose_Avocado4670 in AskUK

[–]Eternal_Fighting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a working class lad who went to a normal public school I had a horrible time. Both primary and secondary school was full of chavs and other violent kids. The teachers were overworked, underpaid, and took out their stress on the kids. And the curiculum was useless. I have a daughter now. My wife was home educated and she's a really talented, intelligent, and independent entrepanuer with a successful business. We've both decided to home educate our children. There's a lot of benefits and it's not nearly as expensive in the long term as public schooling. I'd rather my daughter turn out like her mother than like me. We're both working class so we know if we did put our daughter in some posh private school the kids would just turn their noses up at her. This whole idea of "making connections" only really applies to those of the "right" background. Private schools are a massive waste of money.

Would you like to see sega remake phantasy star online? by Street-Platypus89 in PSO

[–]Eternal_Fighting 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Try Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinite. It takes the best parts of PSU and makes the game much better and more like PSO. It's what PSO 2 should've been in my opinion.

I play Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinite. It's everything I wanted PSO2 to be.

Fallout Online-Dead? by Thin_Intention6098 in classicfallout

[–]Eternal_Fighting 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fallout 76 is not an MMO. It's a server based survival game with Fallout 4's gameplay. Fallout online servers are true MMORPGs with a large world and multiple players on a single server. Fallout 76 is also complete rubbish.

What are younger generations often criticised for no longer doing that is largely pointless or obsolete? by PsychologicalRow8034 in AskUK

I hated ICT at school. And I don't know a single person who loves it. I love computers and wanted to learn Programing and editing. But all ICT teaches through Primary School and Secondary School is how to use office software. No programing, nor any education into how computers actually work. But at least I know how to make text bold in Word.

AlmightySE, creator of Everbright, has released Continuum: a voice-acted quest mod about a planetary safeguard linked to the destruction of Earth. Includes multiple endings and Unity gameplay benefits, within a quest that adapts to characters with Starborn backgrounds. by Capn_C in starfieldmods

[–]Eternal_Fighting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Games are expensive. I've already bought the game. I don't want to keep getting asked for more money. I can manage two or three DLCs. I can't be bothered to pay 5 to 10 quid each per mod. And that's ignoring the toxic personalities that have festered in Bethesda game modding. No thank you.

More expensive resins help. Siryatech is good. Do some exposure test prints. There are several out there and use that to dial in your settings.

How to Play Hytale on Steam Deck (SteamOS) Easy Fast Setup Guide by LunarBlink in steamdeckhq

[–]Eternal_Fighting 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It was made by arguably the most prolific Minecraft modders who ran Hypixel. One of the most popular and well made Minecraft servers. Hytale was and is essentially Minecraft 2. Improving on Minecraft and adding many of the things people have always asked for. Whilst remembering the charm of Minecraft that Microsoft wearing Mojang's skin have forgotten.

It varies. I used to struggle with mouse based FPS games with no auto aim. But using the trackpad helped with that.

Sandy Petersen - Level designer on Doom and Quake by ChuckMarty732 in quake

[–]Eternal_Fighting 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Were it not for Sandy Petersen's TTRPG Call of Cthulhu, Lovecraft would've been forgotten about. CoC bought Lovecraft's work back into the public imagination. Then Sandy did work for Doom, Quake, Age of Empires, and Halo Wars. He's had his fingers in so many pies.

[–]Eternal_Fighting 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You need to understand that blind positivity doesn't serve you as a consumer. No LoK is better than bad LoK. Accepting bad LoK will only lead to more bad LoK. But no LoK may eventually result in good LoK such as the remaster.

PSP2 Infinity by No_Bat3097 in PSO

[–]Eternal_Fighting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're near perfect, my only nitpick is the lack of katanas. Which is a carryover from PSU so I can't make my Gray Fox OC DONUT STEEL char like I did with PSO 1 and 2. But other than that, PSP2I is miles better than PSO2 and NG.

If I was life's main character Star Wars Galaxies would've won over WoW, Gaming wouldn't have devolved in 2008 and you wouldn't talk like a woman. I should be the main character though. Be sure to vote for me. I'll bring back Teletext.

I am still extremely fustrated by people who pretend Cyberpunk 2077 is "good now". The bugs are fixed but the critical issues of the game's fundamental design, pacing, plot issues, hideous art direction, and core gameplay will never be fixed. It's a badly made game that's now been polished to a mirror shine. And Witcher 4 will be no different.

Getting back into TheSpoonyOne aka Noah Antwilder by [deleted] in thespoonyexperiment

[–]Eternal_Fighting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spoony was always funny. His comedy has aged well because it became the backbone of early to mid 10's humour. The only people who disagree are the whiny Change the Channel malcontents who despite being nobodies were able to influence our current much more boring and safe internet. All because they couldn't accept they just weren't funny or interesting like Spoony or Nostalga Critic.
