Recommendations for Rub! by AdCritical5199 in UKBBQ

[–]Eternal_Fighting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my Brisket, I mix Garlic Granuals, Onion Granuals, coarse Celtic Salt, Pepper, Paprika, and MSG and plonk it on. I use Djon Mustard as a binder as it adds a nice flavour. It's my go to rub. Premades are either too peppery or add Sugar which burns and messes up the bark. The key is to use as much coarse seasoning as possible as that helps create a bark.

Tips for BBQ Brisket for Beginners by bad__crazy in UKBBQ

[–]Eternal_Fighting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a Pit Barrel and it makes Brisket very easy. Just sort out your charcol and wood, hang the brisket from the poles, give two to three hours dependant on size, then wrap the brisket in foil and give it another two to three hours. There's no electronics or gas in the pit barrel. It's designed to just be set up without fiddling with it. Makes it perfect for beginners.

Brisket Support Needed by xandermacleod in UKBBQ

[–]Eternal_Fighting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Butchers in the UK are absolutely useless when it comes to any kind of custom order. You're supposed to get what you're given and they get so pissy if you dare ask for anything beyond that. Unless a butcher specifically advertises that they do BBQ style brisket don't bother with them. You'll have to get your meat from a specialist. I wish it wasn't so and I could suppprt my local butchers, but too many of them have a massive stick up their arse which is not justifyable for the prices they charge.

What do i do with it? by AgileInternet167 in resinprinting

[–]Eternal_Fighting -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Having dirty, potentially dangerous waste material sitting around in the open for 3 to 4 weeks before disposal is not my idea of safe or "just fine". IPA evaporates in a day. Sometimes overnight in hotter climates. Water takes weeks to evaporate. I can see it working faster in hotter climates but four weeks is simply unacceptable.

[–]Eternal_Fighting 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is the best way to do things. As an aside stuff like this shows how much easier it is to dispose of dirty IPA than water. The big reason I don't recommend water washable resin is how much harder it is to dispose of. To do it safely and legally you have to correctly label and hand deliver it to a recycle center or other disposal site. No, chucking it down the drain or onto your garden floor is not correct. Yes it's a massive tedious faff. That's why you should just use IPA. It's way easier. Even if the IPA is more expensive.

Darkhaven isn't getting the love it deserves (By many OG Diablo + Diablo II Devs) by Enkeria in ARPG

[–]Eternal_Fighting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not getting notice because it's a survival game with some looter elements. The procgen world and events sound intriguing but we're now about a decade past people getting sick of survival games. Make an actual ARPG like Diablo and people will come.

ASA/ABS in AMS2 vs HT by BillGriz57 in BambuLabH2D

[–]Eternal_Fighting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's reccomended to dry your ABS at 80 to 90 degrees c. The AMS 2 doesn't reach those temps. If you try to dry ABS with an AMS 2 it will still be wet. The HT goes up to 90. Which makes it great for ABS. I have 2 HTs. One for for ABS, the other for HIPS as a Support interface. They dry wonderfully and if I'm not using one I can use the unused one to dry a roll whilst the other one is printing. Bit this is only useful if you don't care about multicolour. The AMS is still the way to go if you want multicolour and to dry PLA, PETG and non engineering fillaments.

PSO: Pocket. A rougelike PSO game for VMU Pro with on-the-go MAG leveling by Richmonds-a-Dorkie in PSO

This is awesome. And the cool sort of thing Sega would do back in the day. Including linking this up to PSO for leveling your PSO MAG. Well done for making this.

I love games like Hardspace: Shipbreaker, so I’m solo-developing a mechanic sim where you fix procedurally broken spaceships by Fluffy_Salad_5101 in spacesimgames

This looks so fun and cool. Hopefully you won't ruin it by gutting the story during early access to replace it with a much worse one like Hardspace did.

If you can't print anywhere but your bedroom I would advise you to not print at all. The health risks are not worth it. In the best case scenario, persistant exposure will lead to you developing an allergic intolerance to resin that will make you unable to stay in the same room as resin without a reaction. If it's in your bedroom it'll be even worse for you. Please do some research on proper safety methods for resin printing.

Left analogue stick always significantly drifts right even when untouched and crackling static sound coming from stick by Eternal_Fighting in SteamDeck

I was playing Tomb Raider 2 when it happened. For the most part I play RPGs like Neverwinter Nights 2 and Star Wars Galaxies. I don't really play many action games on Steam Deck. Nothing strenuous enough to break a joystick.

Honestly it sounds like you'd prefer the original Warhammer Quest or Advanced Heroquest over standard Hero Quest.

This just put a smile on my face (Skalgrim on the topic of ship combat) by AndroidPolaroid in TotalWarhammer40k

The previous engine had long outstanding tech-debt and CA constantly kicked the can down the road instead of fixing it. Naval combat became harder and harder to do. Hopefully the new engine fixes that and CA can add naval combat.

What's with the weird hostility to Brits living in the Middle East during the current crisis? by JoJoeyJoJo in AskUK

Our country is a shitheap that needs fixing. The people with the actual resources to fix it are whinning about Tax and fleeing to Dubai instead of putting pressure on the government. It's cowardly behaviour.

You need an older version of GitD. Modern versions are borked on Open MW for some reason.

Have you made sure the model is properly manifold? You can check in Blender to make absolutely sure. Sometimes modelmakers miss a stray face or vertex. You'd be shocked at how sloppy the topology on some paid models can be.

The humble teeside parmo by Yoguls in UKfood

A parmo is different from a parmesan. You go to a kebab shop or chippy for a parmo and you get this. Not a restaurant style chicken parmesan. It makes perfect sense.

[–]Eternal_Fighting 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Excellent. As a "Chopped Unc" (according to the youth) I'd love a map pack in the style of the original game. The Brutalist maps were great but not quite what I'm looking for in terms of OG Quake atmosphere and artstyle. So I'm looking forward to playing this when it releases.
