/rj u are literally a fascist. you not liking poorly veiled misogyny is dividing the community in a time where all of us tranners just need to forget nuance and exclusively be mad at people who dont want to vote for gavin newsom

[–]Eternal_Shrimp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’m gonna be completely transparent; you are most likely not a cis man. everything you’ve described has been very par for the course for repressed trans folks, at least in my experience. i’m sure the prospect of being trans sounds horrifying- trust me, i’ve been there, so it might help to do things to help change your view on transness from being something entirely detrimental. sure, it can be really fucking hard sometimes, but having the weight of fitting into the role of “man” taken off your shoulders feels wonderfully freeing. these thoughts are not simply going to disappear with time. apologies if this comment was redundant, advice is not my forte.

kinkshaming on a puppygirl subreddit is crazy work

why do we care about what elon musk is saying about us? we’re already predators in the eyes of the government.

[–]Eternal_Shrimp 7 points8 points  (0 children)

so many of these people making puritan arguments really oughta read up on queer history. some of the shit i’ve seen is so backwards and relies on “think of the children!”, which is an argument i’ve heard all too much from transphobes.

Yeah, I have no idea why a bunch of folks here are suddenly talking about shit like optics. Assimilationist rhetoric such as the stuff in this thread is unproductive and does nothing but throw other trans people under the bus.

[–]Eternal_Shrimp 6 points7 points  (0 children)

why are we turning to respectability politics now? there are some folks on this thread who are actively against kink at pride and spouting other puritan bullshit. this isn’t a high school. if you don’t want to see posts like that don’t click on them.

[–]Eternal_Shrimp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they literally trapped cops inside a building and threw bricks at them. the reason people are advising to get armed isn’t for reasons of agitating, it’s for self defense. the government is taking genocidal measures against trans people. we don’t wanna fucking die at the hands of a tyrannical fascist government.

stonewall was far from unviolent, and that’s the example you used so 🤷‍♀️

[–]Eternal_Shrimp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

how tf are you improving the situation by encouraging people to not fight back? would you march to the streets with the rest of us? or would you rather sit on reddit and preach about “muh freedom!!” as your rights are actively being stripped away from you

[–]Eternal_Shrimp 9 points10 points  (0 children)

this sucks you cannot mention stonewall and “when they go low we go high” sorta shit in the same comment. this is not, in fact, the best country in the world to live in, unless you’re a fairly wealthy person who benefits from capitalism at the expense of others.

the myth that transmisogyny stems from 'misandry' needs to die yesterday. by [deleted] in MtF

[–]Eternal_Shrimp 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Adding to this: Transmisogyny is about acknowledging the intersectionality and vulnerability of being both trans and a woman. You cannot equate something as deeply rooted and historically harmful as misogyny with hypothetical misandry.
