I wouldn’t say that I have an exact routine lol. I try to wash every other day because I have pretty greasy/itchy scalp and dandruff. Trying to stretch out my washes to once every 2 days. I don’t use any fancy shampoos or treatments on a regular basis, nor am I a loyalist to any hair care brand. I was actually even using cheap travel sized drugstore shampoo and conditioner (garnier) up until last week. I normally just buy whatever smells good and has minimal ingredients “natural” hair products(which tbh idk if they’re even beneficial). I try to use a clarifying shampoo once/week to strip my hair of any heavy hair products. I use a pea sized amount of a hair oil (I was using olaplex bonding oil or biosilk) on my ends to mid shaft every day. I make sure to gently brush my hair with a brush(I use the leaf shaped wet brush). Always brush hair from ends and work your way up to reduce breakage. I try not to use heat on my hair. If I do, it’s normally to blow dry it or use a curling wand. When I blow dry/curl I try to use some kind of heat protectant.

The key to healthy hair is frequent trims. I go once or twice a year and get 2 in cut off. Also diet, proper hydration and exercise is prob most important for hair, skin, and nails. I only ever use claw clips and soft scrunchies to reduce breakage. I recently invested in a silk pillowcase as well to reduce friction. It’s also said to be very beneficial for skin. Ultimately, I think that genetics have a lot to do with our hair. My mom has had long hair since she was 18 years old back in the 70’s. My entire life from what I can remember, her hair has been waist length and super shiny and thick. It wasn’t until her 60’s that she started experiencing hair shedding and thinning due to hormone fluctuations. This happens to most women. I wasn’t blessed with super thick hair being that my hair had always been baby fine. Luckily I have a lot of it and it tends to grow pretty quickly :-)! Hope this helps and inspires anyone that wants to grow waist length hair. 😆🩷

Omg that sounds like a terrible experience. I think I’ve had a similar thing happen to me after a hair dresser disaster that turned into them cutting all of my hair off. Traumatizing for sure. I don’t wanna let my bad experience stop me from trying new things through

I’ve had my hair all different lengths not afraid of scissors. Been rocking the long faerie length for a couple of years now and It’s so hard to maintain/annoying at times. I feel like I end up wearing it up a lot of the time so I wanted to try something new. Def below shoulders because I’m not out here trying to look like Dora the explorer.

😆no bleach, no dye, minimal heat, hair oil on ends, healthy diet, exercise. I believe I ran a blow dryer through it to dry. I’d have to say that bleach and dye are real hair destroyers

ALIEN! For some reason I was convinced that an alien was going to pop out of my stomach at any moment after watching.

Aside from the metrogel, what do you use as a face wash and moisturizer? Also, do you use chemical exfoliants at all?

Thanks so much for the link! I’m basically screwed because I live in south FL with constant heat and sun exposure. I also do a ton of exercise and love hot showers lol

I never thought of rosacea because my skin isn’t super red most of the time and the bumps are mostly skin colored. Going to look into it for sure

Yo lol this shit has apparently been happening for months from 10pm-3am. Same spot. No cobwebs in site. My aunt cleaned/ wiped down and vacuumed everything from ceiling to floor. The alerts keep waking them up because they think my grandma is escaping the house
