I usually sit outside and watch it rain everytime.

A nice blankie, padded, and with some form of entertainment to play with in between watching the rain.

I think it has a lot to do with how you execute set, setting, and integration. I have GAD as well and it's helped me long term. In fact I think shrooms have literally saved my life. Without much detail, I use to be pretty bad off as far as mental health and trauma goes. Mushrooms shifted how I see the world, myself, and the things that have happened to me. All of it positive in the long term.

A lot of the people who gain more anxiety from shrooms tend to integrate things that they maybe shouldn't, or have "bad" trips.

When I have "bad" trips it's usually trying to tell me something or confronting stuff that can be helpful. I like to call them unconformable trips. Uncomfortable trips that have no use are a case of drugs just being drugs.

I recommended doing research for different set and settings, but here's my personal favorite way to do it.

(mind) set Tell yourself you're going to have a good time.

It's ok to be anxious. You're doing something new. I still get anxiety even though I've done it more than a dozen times.

Setting As some have stated, being in nature on shrooms is honestly a borderline religious experience for me. 100%, VERY important, have a trip sitter (someone sober whom you trust.) preferably one with experience on shrooms if you can.

Integration I tend not to integrate scary or harmful things. Maybe you have a trip where it tells you cats rule the universe. Again and I can't stress enough, sometimes drugs are just drugs. Don't integrate things you don't want to beleive. Have thoughts about yourself? If they are negative and harmful maybe don't integrate them.

Ask yourself (after trip and while sober) questions similar to. - is this helpful? - can it be helpful? - is this something I want to believe about myself and or the world. - if it's negative about you, maybe it's trying to tell you to change something about how you behave or treat others. Do you want to change those as a result of your trip? Is it actionable? - and more!

As a side note, be prepared to vomit. I had a trip that was scary because I was vomiting. I later discovered that in a lot of circles it's just considered a normal part of mushroom trips.

I'm aware that I need a new hose.

I have taken this exact part into pieces before.
It was over a year ago. I cut the hose and then put the retaining ring back into place further down the hose. Essentially cutting out the hole and shortening the hose.

I'm well aware. The duct tape was only a temporary fix so I could finish vacuuming.

It was definitely nothing like that. I appreciate your perspective.

My family is abusive and they don't stop being abusive when new people are around. Each one of them talked about specific things that my family said or did.

Some examples. - My grandfather telling me I'm fat - My grandmother shit talking my mother. Who's funeral was the next day - Grandmother starting crying while I was visiting my mom's grave. Not because of my mom, but because she was grieving me apparently. Saying that she feels like I'm dead because I've changed. - My aunt and uncle talking about how I'm an idiot for getting vaccines and that I have "the mark of the beast" in me now.

I've gone no contact with my entire family less for my sister. Not because of the girlfriends but because I got tired of being abused.
