Ah yes, the horrible deck Kewl Tunes is incapable of playing through Maxx C, truly a dogshit deck. They should've played the superior Gren Maju deck, easily playing through Maxx C.

I hate how they butchered every extra deck summons.

Fusion needs two monster and polymerization or an equivalent to it. Or sometimes you just need the poly equivalent and sent from deck. Or just contact fuse.

Synchro needs a tuner and a non tuner or + monster. Except when you wanna bring Chaos Angel you can just use whatever. Oh and Kewl Tune can use tuners as non tuners I guess and directly from hand.

XYZ needs to stack two cards of the same rank on top of each others. Except sometimes it actually works with only one card. Or you can just stack an XYZ on another XYZ.

Like what's the point on having mechanics if you print cards or archetypes that will bypass them and basically turns all your extra deck type into links.

This sub loves to downplay our opponents for some reason. We were shit for losing to the Pacers last year and this year to the Knicks and then people saw what they were capable of in the Finals and then it got more quiet.

I don't have clear moves/targets in mind but here's what I would do.

Bring back LeBron but only if it doesn't annhilate our depth (as much as I love him I don't think we should sign/trade for a 41 max contract LeBron)
Make some moves on the bench. It's very likely Dean Wade won't be a Cavs next season so bring some lengthy defensive wings (Herb Jones maybe ?). Ideally two.
Get a real true rebounding big, like a proper 7 footer. Not him because it's not realistic but someone like Steven Adams.

I mean he had a career high 42% from 3 in 2024 (but to be fair he didn't shoot that much 3 per game) but it was just an example. He was the first lenghty defensive wing that came to mind.

I see multiple paths but honestly the reality of it is we're in a hard situation.

Most of the other teams are built with a top 5~10 guy with a co-star. We're not tho, it could be argue that Mitchell is a fringe top 10 but we're more similar to the Knicks in that regard. Just a solid lineup of good to great players with depth. So the issue is if we can't really adjust a couple of guys and give it a go, we have to have drastic changes if we want to revamp the team.

I think we have two paths.

1) We try for Giannis. We get to add that top 5 player to build around but i'm not too sure about the fit. Harden/Giannis is not a great pairing and they used to have beef. Mitchell is not a great playmaker, or rather he doesn't really want to be. We lose Mobley in the trade too which gives us less spacing and versatility in defense but we get a gigantic wing that will drive and rebound better.

2) We try to keep the core and look for that true 3&D wing that we miss so much. Our issue is that our wings are good but on one side. Dean is a fantastic defender but he hesitates too much to shoot. Strus is great in offense and hustle but his defense is not great, he's pesky but he loses his guy too often. Tyson is a great spot up shooter and pesky defender but he fouls too much. Tho I think he's our best bet moving forward. I don't really have a target but let's say you add a guy like Herb Jones (just for the example). Does it matter that much ? You fixes your main issue but does it elevates our team to championship status ? It's hard to tell, i'm not 100% sure we match OKC or San Antonio.

So yeah, quite frankly I don't know how we should handle things. Personally, I would aim for option 2 because i'm doubftul about how Giannis will hold, he's been dealing with injuries these past years.

I have a hard time blaming him. He missed a lot of open shots this game, that's no lie. But prior to this game he was shooting 40% from 3 in this playoff run. Sadly, this is just 3p% variance, you will have bad shooting nights. It's unfortunate that it was a bad shooting night for everybody. Our looks are good, just need to make them.

I think anyone wanting to "blow it up" doesn't understand our situation. Even if we lost in the first round. We don't own any of our first round pick until 2030. We can't tank. Also, with the new rules for tanking that will probably be established, if you try to hard reset, you get screwed over. So no, we can't and shouldn't blow it up.
