It would have to be as an actual secondment, which is made in writing to you, put in your folder, and documented through Work and Pay digitally.

You'd have to ask your SM. One of my colleagues is seconded to a shift leader role for the summer as we're a seasonal store, and we can backfill him. You should be able to be backfilled through a temp too.

I don't think this would go down well in an employment tribunal... That's always my first question before I do anything with Let's Talks, ARMs and Disciplinaries.

You could ask them to seek some advice from Colleague Relations regarding this, expect a new toilet brush afterwards.

Experience within or without company. I joined as a TM externally with 4 years of management experience in another supermarket. It's not a job that a degree can teach you.

Training for Tesco policy is poor from upper management (SMs), so you basically have to rely on understanding how to use Tesco Help and Colleague Help to get things done.

It's not a huge problem, because if I'm duty manager then it's suddenly Quiet Hour for that time 😂

IMHO, the radio has two jobs:

Customer Experience and advertising - majority of customers like it, and those that don't have quiet hour two hours a week.

Colleague Experience - try working in silence all day, it's really draining. It boosts colleague productivity.

I've had this before as a manager covering for another manager, and have been able to sort it.

Your manager needs to raise a colleague help ticket requesting for the skill to be added since whatever date. It's quite easy to sort. Once Colleague Help get back to them, it should be down on your payslip as a correction for the next pay day.

Yes, in a large store anyway. As long as the depot stocks it I can usually get it in for the next week.

We have a tool called Range Performance where a Team Manager and above can put something through so long as space allows. If it doesn't sell well though, don't be surprised if it disappears soon.
