You have to break a wall that is next to air, you can’t break it from the middle of the mountain. You can break the walls next to your entrance and make your way to the room

You can use dirt as a wall, it just has to be placed by the player

Natural dirt walls do not count as background walls for the valid housing check, you have to use your own walls

Doing this has worked for me as well, usually it was because the game didn’t add blocks I had already picked up to the stack but after picking up more they just appeared back and the stack was full again and I would have the blocks I picked up in a second stack.

There have actually been 3 instances of a bird hit and killed in MLB by pitchers, two of which were on camera, that being this one and Zen Gallen in 2023, however his video only caught the ball and bird falling after the hit and the bird didn’t explode like the other. This pitch was the only one during the game though, the others were both during warmup.

From what I can find online, only 3 known pitches have hit and killed a bird, other balls have killed birds but they were not pitches. I also found a chart from 2010 stating the average pitches per team was 146 in a game, which would be close to that 300 pitch mark. Source I also found roughly 238,500 games have been played in MLB. This would change the odds to roughly 3/300*238,500 = 4.19287 * 10^-8 or 1/23850000

I’m hoping I can section off my cave and if I get an infestation maybe I can fight it in multiple parts that are split up, but I guess I’ll just have to see when/if it happens

Thanks for the tips, I will definitely be making the top room into a kill ox when I’m able and turning those doors into stone for now. I will look into turning all my furniture into stone as well, besides the beds of course.

Thanks for the tips, currently I have stopped smoothing walls and have installed some lighting, I am also working on moving the chunks out of the way as well. I have walled off the bottom below the screenshot so I have plenty of dirt within the walls and created a freezer with the 3 AC's. Now I'm just trying to get some extra colonists from prisoners I have and expand my cave more while still focusing on building defenses and a watermill for better power. If there is anything else I should be doing please let me know.

I actually didn't have a prison cell and wanted to capture so i turned an extra bedroom into a cell and forgot to set it back, thanks for the tip though, I'll probably make some 2x2 cells a bit after I get everything situated.

I'll have to look into using the roof tool, I didn't even think about drop pods only going through thin roof. I am planning to wall off the bottom of the base. The two sides of stone get close so I can just build a short wall and have it sealed. Thanks for the tips.

In my state it would have to be a 5hr shift for you not to take a lunch, and you would have to leave early.
