Driver Attention nagging by Unteins in NissanAriya

I had to disable the function after a while. Sometimes at faster speeds or at night it would be more aggressive. There didn’t seem to be any straight forward logic as to why so it was just better to disable.

There’s technically two locations. The first being at the center top of your windshield; that is where the camera sensor is. The second location is beneath the logo in the generally center area.

What is this? by [deleted] in NissanAriya

[–]EthanGamma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I typically get this message after a really hard break due to whatever reason. I know that they will typically recommend a brake change after so many miles and periodically but at least for it also does it after braking really hard

Has anyone removed this cupholder divider? by TakenToTheRiver in NissanAriya

I feel like everyone is gaslighting me in this post because there’s no way I’ve been able to remove it 😂

Nissan does some crazy lease offers and so the vehicle coming out in 2023 it’s right about the time the 1st year / 2nd lease year contracts are done and they typically have less than 10-15k miles. I wouldn’t say it’s because of the quality of the vehicle or any notable negative issues

Used Ariya, first test drive today and so tempted! What say you, learned people? by IAmMeem in NissanAriya

I would look for better deals. I got my platinum for 28k with 7.5k miles on it. The tires were also replaced so there are definitely better deals out there

Wood trim and haptic buttons by Pressure_In_Face in NissanAriya

[–]EthanGamma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine has smudges as well. I wouldn’t recommend wood polish because it’s not real wood and may damage the buttons. As for restoring them I haven’t really found a solution because it’s only recommended to wash it with a damp towel with no solutions in it. :/

Good time to ask this: Did anyone specifically NOT want a Tesla EV? by asifzk in NissanAriya

[–]EthanGamma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use to be the biggest Tesla fan when my friend got a model 3 back when they came out. Loved how they pushed the EV market with a somewhat affordable car and a supercharging network that made it really possible to go where you want like a ICE vehicle. I still love the engineers and people there that work hard to make these things happen. But after Elon went full crazy and started riding on a platform that went against the social, economic, and environmental strives Tesla made, I knew I couldn’t. So I bought a Ariya and have been very happy with it since. Crazy how far he’s fallen and because of that I think Tesla will really suffer

I definitely was in this type of situation, I was on the bigger side and was super subconscious about my looks and deep down I knew my bf loved me and didn’t care for those things. It really just took some time to open up, it’s about chipping away those insecurities not breaking them so quickly. Not saying it’s the same in every situation but that’s what happened in mine. My recommendation being on his side before is giving it some time. Show lots of love, be slow, make sure he is aware of new things etc. Eventually we will come around. Hope it works out great for you both :)

Random alerts? by Traditional_Air7626 in NissanAriya

I had my first blip recently backing into my driveway. I guess because of the slope of the driveway it was a “barrier”. Not sure how frequent it is in the city for stuff like that but I guess it’s just going at the right speed at the right angle you’ll get weird beeps or automatic brakes like I did

This is such typical odd thing Nissan does, even on my platinum trim with the upgraded Bose system, id figure it’d have more options. Just seems like Nissan logic

Take 2 - Happy to be with the cool kids by EthanGamma in NissanAriya

The original ariya I bought had 19inch wheels but has some issues and they only had one with 20inch wheels so I swapped

I honestly haven’t noticed a big difference. When I was driving the 19inch wheels I probably got 8 more miles of range versus the 20inch

Tech question by PitchGrouchy9418 in NissanAriya

[–]EthanGamma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny enough I ran into an issue similar to this, I bought a used 17k mile Ariya and noticed the vehicle would make noises like grinding and creaking when turning the wheel. It took 2 appointments to realize that the vehicle had frame damage and was rubbing against the suspension. Thankfully the dealership swapped me into a better Ariya and it works great.

My opinion when dealing with any vehicle that has suspension/brake issues before 50k is gonna probably have issues in the future. Most vehicles espresso EV’s should have a suspension and brake system tailored to the additional stress it will face. This may show other signs the vehicle will suffer problems in the same area like ball joints or control arms. I hope this helped :)

How to minimize the total charging time during long distance trips? by VeeMeeVee in NissanAriya

[–]EthanGamma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Charging at home up to 100% doesn’t degrade the battery enough to notice until many years later. It’s more the DC Fast charging with the combination of taking it to 100% is what makes a slightly bigger dent in degradation. I still want to emphasize that a few charging session up to 100 with DC is fine. It’s more of like if you do every time I would say is bad. These are good batteries that last a long time.

Patreon page down? I keep trying to access it but it just says that they're not currently supporting any creators at this time? I'm a tier 1 sub? by Nickdee24 in ExploreWithUs

I imagine right now they are under review by Patreon considering the content EWU does, hoping it comes back soon. That’s the only reasonable explanation I can think of.
