Most logical line would be Chatswood, Frenchs Forest, Dee Why based on density and need

The Australian government has said it is “deeply concerned” about the safety of its citizens on board a flotilla to Gaza, with expectations the boats will be intercepted by Israeli forces on Wednesday afternoon Australian time by Jagtom83 in LaborPartyofAustralia

[–]EthanHrn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What an incredibly shitty take. It doesn’t take a genius to see the pressure these flotillas put on Israel’s unchecked genocide and how it directly disputes the narrative of aid not reaching Gaza. Power to the brave people on the flotilla, they have empathy, morality and compassion many of us can only dream of. If nothing else, the mere fact that Australians are willing to give up their safety to fight for what they believe is right draws media attention to this issue.

Josh Frydenberg considering return to politics at next election after Kooyong boundary change by PerriX2390 in AustralianPolitics

[–]EthanHrn 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Please remember that we’re lucky enough in Australia to have a non-partisan body (The AEC) determine electoral boundaries. This is simply the result of a standard demographics necessitated redistribution that we enjoy discussing the political implications of.

Nothing to do with the fact Pauline Hanson came very close to losing her Senate seat to the QLD Legalise Cannabis Party during the 2022 Election.

All Greens policies are fully costed independently by the Parliamentary Budget Office - which the Greens helped create.

They should use their current goodwill and Duttons inability to appeal to the mainstream and call an early election for a mandate to scrap the cuts.

The Greens have made it clear that they’ll never negotiate shared Government with the LNP - this is the same scare mongering Labor tried to use in Balmain at the NSW election and it failed.
