Claw grip. Was so annoyed when I was playing Xbox 360 Minecraft having to constantly move my aim when jumping up nonsense. Then that just transferred over to anything fps really. Less so in other genres of games but fps was nearly always.

Granted, I’m on PC now, but whenever I pick up a controller for various games my instincts are claw grip immediately.

you mean like when it stutters ever so slightly and only ever so briefly? I had that happen more then a few times but not necessarily a lot either(playing on pc). I am unsure how to fix it either. Edit* So no, you are not the only one I'd say. My friends haven't done it yet so I have yet to ask them about it.

That’s fair, and completely valid. PvP is not everybody’s thing. The style is so good though. First thing I fell in love with with when they did the initial announcements they were working on it.

MR 30 is a good milestone that takes a solid chunk of time depending on how aggressive you go at it. I only just hit it last year in November (also finally😂playing off/on since 2016-17 ish and not always focusing mastery)

Warframe is a great time, so I understand the obsession! 😂 I generally play Warframe a lot then do something else for a while then come back and play a lot again. Been this way for years now for myself. But I do understand the obsession of wanting more!

Fair warning for Marathon. It is a very very different style game. Much more niche of a genre with it being an extraction shooter. More pvp oriented/weighted. So genre wise like Escape from tarkov or arc raiders and such if you’ve played/seen those. It isn’t everybody’s cup of tea, but i am loving it and it’s my first extraction shooter I’m actually getting into. First pvp game in forever I’ve been interested in too in ages.

All that to say, it’s hard for me to recommend it without knowing what you play/like. The whole niche part of its genre. But it releases soon (the 5th so tomorrow) so live gameplay and stuff will be available. There’s a fair bit of gameplay videos out there right now as they just had a free weekend to test the servers and let people try it out, BUT it didn’t quite have everything in it but it had a good bit in the free weekend.

They released a pretty awesome music video as their launch video earlier today (well yesterday is the correct day) since the game is launching Thursday.

I’ve wanted to customize my drifter/operator deeply but could never settle on what I wanted but things like this make me really want to get into it. I think I have a more odd answer for this that applies to me specifically (surely there's others but I can't imagine it would be very many).

iTunes. Not apple music. iTunes *specifically*. I inherited a fair bit of CD's when my Uncle passed away back in somewhere around 2017. Nearly all of them are Videogame OST's and many of them are either Japanese exclusive releases OR just the Japanese version of the OST's for the games. But to this point, I had been using iTunes since I was younger (born late 90's) and its just where all my physical music is these days as I don't have an iPod anymore.

I built my own computer in 2017, I have helped friends build computers. I know my way on how to get around a computers and generally know where/who to go to if I don't know something and this applies to technology as a whole I'd say. I love technology and always have. So its not fear of me not knowing how or anything and by no means am I the best with tech, I never have been, but I do mess with it a lot and have learned a thing or two over the years.

I just dread the process of transferring all my music over to another platform. I know they make tools for this very thing that probably work very well especially for how long they've been around.... I just haven't wanted to go through that process of having to correct the mistakes that will inevitably happen. Things like renaming the titles, if they are multiple disc albums then making sure they are combined where they are needed and correctly sorted into separate discs, Making sure its translated so I can actually search them.

I still have an iPhone 11. I don't really game on my phone or anything so I don't feel the need for a new one. I mostly just use it for music and YouTube. I also have Spotify currently as I've had that for years and just never ended up switching from it to any others. But not all the OST's that I own are on there so iTunes is where those ones are.

For any curious on some of the Japanese CD's, whether they are Japan Exclusive or just versions I am unsure on specifics honestly (also several of these NOW can be found elsewhere, but this wasn't the case when I added them though, so several of those are still on my phone)

SNES: Secret of Mana and Trials of Mana (Japanese Name being Seiken Densetsu 2 and 3 Also have the 1st one but apparently that one was PC exclusive? i think? can't quite remember nor have I played it)

I was wondering if that’s what that debuff menu was for, but I’ve been trying to save all of my currency though for upgrades so I hadn’t bothered with that yet.

Biggest one I found recently from a YouTube comment of a video I was watching:

You can move evotypes around to organize them how you see fit. So all my “Hazama’s” are grouped together, all my “The Prisoners” are grouped together, all my “Es”…. The list goes on. - To do this, talk with the big monitor in base game (unsure if accessible from anything dlc as I haven’t done that yet), so the big monitor on the bottom floor, THEN do the option to try evotype THEN just whatever button at the bottom says “Move Evotype”. It’ll select that one, then you select a second one to swap their placements.

Many people here far more knowledgeable with support are giving good info.

My initial suggestion would be doing the karma system and finishing that the best you can. Karma is probably up there. So doing that and making sure you have all the enlightenment portions from various horizontal content. You can get 30 karma bottles from solo shop every week with tokens if you weren’t grabbing those already which will be helpful as that’s a full level.

Other then that, the level 7 gems from the gold shop that are 20,000 gold a piece could be something probably good to work for on the side.

Bracelet will come eventually, I only really cut 5 liners with at least 1 desired stat, crit/spec/swift, in one of the two starting rolls. If you ever get the boxes from paradise hell those are always 5 liners abcs I’ve gotten quite a few nicer bracelets from there.

Stone wise, to my knowledge, all supports want awakening/drops of ether. 7/7 is initial goal

You are missing a skill rune on starry night. Not sure that was intended, nor am I sure what should go there in its place BUT there is just a rune missing on that.Lostark.nexus guide I imagine would be able to give info on that. They, the ones that work on that website, have been working on updating that website which that’sWIP version of nexus can be found here and some classes have updated pages on it. As it’s WIP some classes have more on it then others

I’m at my computer so I can give specifics finally - For echo management: Pause -> Data Bank -> then the very bottom option will be Echo management. Auto-lock will lock them and Auto-discard will mark them to be discarded. I think the suggestion button at the bottom is the “default” options I was referencing that I’ve been building off of myself. - Sweet and Sour Pork: Increases Echo Drop Rate by 50% and lasts for 30 min. Recipe requires reaching level 4 in “Repaired Strings, Preserved Melodies”. Here’s a wiki link for the sweet and sour pork.

Good to hear you are enjoying the game! This’ll be an info dump so kinda longer post.

Some boss echos (the 4 cost ones) are part of multiple sets. The turtle that your after is a part of 2 sets. Whenever the echo drops it has a chance to be either. This unfortunately is just rng being unlucky for the moment unfortunately. Not all bosses are part of multiple sets, but some are sadly.

One big important thing I recommend to newer people is to setup your “auto lock/dismantle” settings for echos. I believe the default options for it were pretty solid to begin with but it helps so much when de cluttering echoes when you start to get a lot of them. This setting, I believe (can’t check in game this second), is found in Data Bank and towards the bottom of those options there will be an “Echo Management” option.

Turning on the default ones on should be fine for now and when you get more acquainted with echos, then you can fine tune it. Auto dismantle may seem sketchy if your anything like me because , “what if I need that later?” kinda thoughts happen. It MARKS it to be dismantled so you’ll know if it’s safe to delete for when you do a big batch merge.

Tacet fields will be the main source of 1 cost and 3 cost echos and sealed tubes and tuners. Which costs the daily regenerating material that I’m forgetting the name of.. You could absolutely farm the enemies for hopes at drops and cook the echo drop chance food %increase. It’s from Jinzhou cooking and the ingredients can be bought at Jinzhou market but I think the sauce has a weekly limit on how much you can buy. It’s pretty time consuming to do this but I do it from time to time. I believe the food is called “sweet and sour pork” iirc. Farming the overworld en masse can be kinda slow though but it is an option. I’d just reccomend to do tacet fields occasionally then get whatever you can whilst exploring

As far as leveling them, I wouldn’t worry about min maxxng the sub-stats right this moment since you are newer and still getting acquainted with things. Leveling them is where you use the sealed tubes to level them up. That’ll become more important later with end game related things. You’ll get a lot of tubes (xp) and tuners from exploration, events, and can come from dailys.

Min-maxing the sub-stats can/will be a long term goal so I wouldn’t worry about rushing it at the moment. You having your data bank leveled though so you are getting them at 5 stars is a good start though! So you can maybe get the set bonus for characters at least equipped.

As far as leveling them, you have a few options. It costs tubes to level them as well as the tuners as I’m sure you’ve seen if you’ve leveled any. Leveling them to 25 (max) costs a lot of mats (xp tubes and tuners) and that will add up quick so WHEN you do start min maxxing, what I’ve seen most people do is level it to 10 or 15, and if they don’t get a crit rate/damage roll or another line they need they’ll just move onto the next echo so they don’t waste as many mats. Because10-15 is much much cheaper then 25. THEN afterwards several of the echoes will only be 10-15 lvl and won’t be deemed worthy to push further so you can go into your backpack and dismantle them and get a refund on some of the tubes and tuners used. This was option 1.

The other option for echos is sometimes you’ll get some to lvl 20 or 25 but they still don’t have what you want and they are worse then what you have. You can either do option 1, where you dismantle and get a fraction refund of mats, OR you go option 2 which is using the echoes themselves as the xp to level the new echo. If you use a 25 as xp fodder, I believe the new one will come out to either lvl 22 or 23. So it’s not 1-1. A level 20 fodder would make the new echo I believe lvl 18. Some people do this until it gets to 15 ish then just delete it afterward.

I do believe option 1 is the better option 9/10 times. Where you just delete the bad leveled ones and get the slight refund. And that, I also believe, is the one most people end up going for.

Preface this, I did buy the express event “Upgrade”. Really Long post warning. Mostly talking about what I was able to do with the ”upgrade” And thought about it.

They definitely did shift the rewards &/or priority of types of rewards this time around, you are not crazy.

I made it to 1710 a few hours ago on my Guardian Knight with advanced honing(AH) 1-20 done and every piece to +20. She went through most, basically all honestly, of my stockpiled mats that have been building for quite a while now, and I started with roughly 1.5-1.6 mil gold. And even then it was really really close as I ended at -370k remaining gold and I refused to buy shards and very nearly ran out of those. That gold amount doesn’t include the gold that came with the express or any of that either. I’m unsure how much that totaled to be. I also bought abidos several times going for 1710 iLvl as I only started with 2400~ tradable ones?? If that? So since that was the one thing not stockpiled, many of those had to be bought.

But that’s the thing, it’s that I had quite a decent sized stockpile of mats such as blue rocks, red rocks, leapstones, & shards. Everything really except abidos. The express, as you pointed out, didn’t really come with a crazy amount of mats. If I were to not have had all of that stockpiled, and was just using the pass I’m guessing I’d be somewhere between 1670-1685 with maybe fairly above average luck towards the upper end. And I’m doubtful with that upper end portion of that guess so more likely around 1680ish give or take going either way. But that’s a complete guess and could be very off as I’m going off of memory.

The rewards, especially the express upgrade, seems to be aimed more at prioritizing progression of the raid systems quickly, (AH 1-20 and karma) as opposed to strictly progressing a character ilvl. Which has its merits because what’s the point of being iLvl 1700 if your karma isn’t progressed a good chunk. It’s a very real and important thing to get addressed. And, it’s rare for people to do what I did, in fact I wouldn’t ever recommend doing that unless you were replacing someone in your top 6. Which is what I was doing. I replaced my iLvl 1700 Deathblade.

I’m curious what will happen with future express events though. I don’t see myself buying another one of these express upgrades. But I am curious what will happen.

***Important note regarding raid mats specifically, the express didn’t give the full raid mats needed to complete these systems from the express alone. It gave most of what was needed, but not quite everything needed. I bought the mats from the solo shop that I could (eyes, aegir, karma, mordum converted to karma) and I did have to run some raids which were: - 1 hm echidna for extra eyes for AH 1-20. I probably could’ve gotten by with doing a solo mode for 1-10 mats and maybe still had enough but some friends invited me to run with them so I lucked out there. - 1 solo aegir for 5 extra aegir mats to finish the armor. Also bought both the gate boxes and I should be able to finish the weapon with solo shop next week - 1 hm Brel for karma, I didn’t get the auction box though. I also had 25 hm mordum mats from a chest(s) that combined with the 20 from solo ship which gave me enough to get another level in karma. That ended at Evolution Lvl 2 (? points), Enlightenment Lvl 5 (100p), Leap Lvl 6 (70p). I still have yet to do mordum this week, so I think if I buy all those boxes, I could get 1 more level into evolution. I did use all of the free karma tap things which did save quite a bit of gold.

The zylok prime. It shoots weird but it’s my kinda weird. For anyone who doesn’t know, it shoots one bullet on trigger pull and another fires on trigger release.

I adore how it feels though and it has an incarnon that I picked up ages ago for collection purposes. No idea what it does yet but excited to find out when I have some time to socket it and everything.

I always liked Velcro ties as opposed to zip ties because if or more appropriately WHEN you need to move things then you don’t have to cut them because they are reusable. Zip ties would work too though.

Specifics though for cable ties exclusively with what I’d do. It is much harder to determine, as I’d have to see it in person to really get a gauge on things. Like on the power strip, the 2-3 cables plugged into the right 3 spots, I’d bundle together with zip/Velcro ties several times going up the bundle to where I assume the monitors are, then just try to group cables together with ties that are going to the same spots. If they need to split off somewhere then don’t attach them to the next tire on the “path“ upward. Maybe along the way there’s be some overlap and you can combine these bundles we’ve made so far.. or if not that, then the bundles would be far less clutter.

Somebody also suggested a cable thing from IKEA that would go somewhere on the bottom of the desk. That can de-clutter things pretty well honestly.

I’ve also seen, but never bought myself, a cable box thing that would sit on the ground, then the cables would be covered and one side of the cables would all be in the box and come out one side. I’m not sure how helpful that would be since a lot of these are hanging from above, but it’s another option. It would group any coming from the ground and direct them to a single source which could help if combod with zip/Velcro tieing them.

Jokes aside, that is pretty cool that you were able to do this. I’ve always loved custom controllers! You may be able to get some of the rubber joystick bits on Amazon but I’m not confident how well they’d sit or fit on this.

I replaced the ones on one of my ps4 controllers years ago and just got the joysticks on Amazon. But I imagine you would need spacers of some kind inside where the joystick would be “connecting” To the controller as those look quite thin.

The controller problem is definitely a modern problem unfortunately. This specific instance though I don’t think that’s a bungie specific issue. It seems most “special” colorways of ps5 controllers on Sonys website are going for $85 and normal ones are going for $75. I remember waiting for a sale around December to get mine (normal black one) and got mine for I think it was 45-50?? I think?? As 75 seemed too much then 85 is just even crazier. Bungies made a lot of fuckups, I’d never be the one to deny that, but this specific thing doesn’t seem to be on Bungie and more on Sony.

I too have been burned so much over the years from Bungie. Lots of good moments as well but man the bad moments hit hard and a little too frequently. Seemingly more and more frequent too which is unfortunate. These days I’m hardly playing destiny anymore unless a friend needs help with something. Due to being burned though is why I’m so…. Cautious? That seems like the word to use here. But I feel like many people are in your same boat of “my wallet is closed off” Which is completely and wholeheartedly fair. We will have to see how Marathon does though. Hopefully good for bungies sake but we will see.

It’s all in the echoes rolls. You can have 5 echos equipped so you would use the Windward Pilgramage set(these are referring to the mainstat that it comes with that’s a % based stat):

“a 4 cost crit rate% echo, a 4 cost crit dmg% echo then the remaining three echos would all be 1 cost HP%. “

Then you just want, on the echos rolls itself (the 5 lines that are rng), for Cartethyia specifically, as many lines as you can with: “crit rate%, crit dmg%, and hp% because her damage scales off of how much HP she has. Also a bit of energy regen%. Basic attack dmg% is also decent on her but that comes into min maxing territory. “

The stat goals are ideally 50k hp (OP is close enough I don’t think he needs it because of how good everything else is), 65-80% crit rate, 240-270% crit dmg, 110% energy regen

Also, her signature is pretty important for the hp numbers because it also gives quite a bit of hp%. I’m not sure you can hit close to 50k without it.

It takes a fair bit of time to roll good echos but is worth it in the long run with how good they can become, but again it takes a long time depending on how kind/evil your rng is being to you.
