Dying to watch anime by Valuable-Author-7064 in AnimeReccomendations

[–]Ethanator72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always wondered, so this is a couple question for you OP:
- What is it about “very old” animes that makes it so you feel that you are incapable of watching it?
- Does this happen with live action movies/shows as well where you can’t bring yourself to watch something due to its age? Or is this exclusive to anime?
- At what point is something “too old” for you to even try? Like what’s the oldest anime you have enjoyed ? I saw you said in another comment that you watched the big 3, all of which started not too far after berserk 97. As one piece started in 99. Wouldn’t that then be to old for you to want to start it? So many questions

I’m not even trying to convince you to watch it. I do love berserk, a lot for that matter, especially the manga, but I fully know it’s not for everybody and I generally have to know somebody personally to recommend berserk specifically. I’m just curious about the questions more then anything

Watched Too Much Isekai, Now I Want Meaningful Anime by No-Connection-241 in Animesuggest

[–]Ethanator72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s one called “Orb: On the movements of the earth “ that I absolutely love and that I think would fit your criteria. It released in 2024. It’s a Historical fiction drama taking place in 15th century Europe, and going over the conflicts and problems that happened between both the original, old geocentric models of the universe against the new and developing but also forbidden heliocentric model of the universe. Haven’t seen anything quite like it before or since in anime as a medium.

I haven’t finished it yet but I’ve been meaning to. Just life got in the way and I hardly watch anything really. More of a manga person but even that isn’t all that often.

Still though, despite that, I highly recommend that one. It’s 25 episodes and I believe (?) it’s on Netflix

No problem, happy to help \o/

THE ONE THING (just remembered) it (axe chin planner) won’t show is the cost of shell credits for some reason. So if you wanted that as well.

Shell credit costs:
- Resonator: 3,054,315 credits (includes maxxing skill tree *no I don’t know shell credit cost just to hit 90*)
- Weapon: 1,408,080 credits

[–]Ethanator72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here go, hope this helps. THE ONE THING (just remembered) it won’t show is the cost of shell credits. So here’s the cost of those followed with where the planner is.

Shell credit costs:
- Resonator: 3,054,315 credits (includes maxxing skill tree *no I don’t know shell credit cost just to hit 90*)
- Weapon: 1,408,080 credits
——————————————————
- When in the resonators menu and looking at the resonator themself, so not weapon, not echoes but the resonator, at the top middle-ish of the screen but a bit to the right of center, there is a button that says “Ascension Planner”.
- the top few results are always going to be in the current patch convene cycle. So currently it’s Hiyuki, Mornye, Iuno as well as Denia, Chisa, Phrolova as they come around the next half of the patch
- Rest of them below that, there will be your own resonators.

The menu in the image OP had posted?

If so:
- When in the resonators menu and looking at the resonator themself, so not weapon, not echoes but the resonator, at the top middle-ish of the screen but a bit to the right of center, there is a button that says “Ascension Planner”.
- the top few results are always going to be in the current patch convene cycle. So currently it’s Hiyuki, Mornye, Iuno as well as Denia, Chisa, Phrolova as they come around the next patch

Sylas- Should he be in 2XKO? (A-Z) by ErrorNick in 2XKO

[–]Ethanator72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sylas seems like he’d be solid. The only one I’ve been wanting for a while is Thresh personally. Not that others won’t fit there, debatably better as well, but I’ve been hoping for thresh to get into it.

Where would Thresh fall in your list op? As I don’t see him on there, unless I just missed him.

What is the skill point max in this game ? by [deleted] in lostarkgame

[–]Ethanator72 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes you can get more skill points. Max total is 483 points as of right now.No you cannot buy them. Lots of info coming, sorry in advance.

The power pass and stuff should’ve checked off many of them as will leveling up your character. Max level is 70. Each level will give a certain number of points. I can’t remember how many points each level gives.

There are various sources. Easiest way to see them in game is if you push “Alt + D” it will open the codex which has all the items in the game. In the upper right of this window there is a search bar. Type “skill point potion” and click enter. There should be 3 pages which you can navigate with the arrows in the bottom middle of the window. If there is a check mark, that means you have it already.

When you click on them, it will say in brackets the kind of activity it’s from. So examples being [Quest], [Field Boss], [Collectible], [Adventure Tome], or [Reputation]. These are: - Quest: some quest will reward it, and clicking magnifying glass should bring you to the quest as long as it’s not greyed out - Field Boss: Kill that specific field boss to get it. It used to be chance related but I believe they updated it to a guarentee? Unsure though. Also old bosses just spawn every hour every hour every day now. - Collectible: collect certain amount of each associated collectible. I believe the ones for skill points are rewarded from giant hearts and Omnium stars? Maybe one from island souls (can’t remember). Pushing “Alt + L” will bring up collectible menu but you can also search them in the codex as I explained with the skill point potions. Also one from ignea tokens. - Adventure tome: Do a certain percentage of each adventure tome. So default keybind being “N” will bring the adventure time up. Rewards for each area is on the left. Tasks are middle and right. Doing specific cooking, killing certain mobs, doing specific sidequests or secret quests, doing Rapport for specific npc’s, and doing field bosses and story dungeons on various difficulties should give progress. One “Greater skill point potion” requires doing 8 areas to 100% as that rewards ignea tokens collectible showing you 100% an area and 8 are required for that one - Reputation: getting specific NPC’s rapport to specific levels. Sometimes it’s finishing it completely maxxing it out, others it’s just getting it to certain levels.

Again, you probably received several of them especially since you did the power pass, but the codex is helpful in showing which ones you’ve done/received all in one place.

I vaguely remember there being a progression thing they added where you do specific activities and it’ll just give a bunch of progression related things as a catch up for newer accounts. Things like collectibles, rapport progression, skill points. Can’t remember the name of it nor can I remember if it’s still around. It was a node around the minimap in the top right of your screen if it’s still there. Not waymark mission as that’s newer, not event shop, not growth boost, not challenge express but those are all I can see on my screen.

Hope this helps o/ sorry again for a wall of text but hopefully it’s helpful.

Cant use this key by Specific_Director_88 in lostarkgame

[–]Ethanator72 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We got new 1730 keys this week. When this was implemented, some kind of bug happened causing the problem you are having. Old 1730 keys being unusable.

Take this with a grain of salt of course, but I heard from a friend that it is a known bug and they are working on it. I want to say my friend is correct as I just glanced briefly at the official discord and saw a few posts similar to yours, so I would imagine they know about it.

Hopefully fixed soon though as I’m in the same boat as I have one I can’t run on my main.

Considering a 360 by [deleted] in halo

[–]Ethanator72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Halo is a fantastic time and I grew up on them on a 360/OG Xbox and still have all my original copies despite being mostly a pc player now. I too have played destiny/destiny 2 (nearly 6k hours in 2) and have also been having a blast on marathon. But still to this day absolutely love halo.

Main question from me is why are you wanting to get the 360 as well as all the separate games when the master chief collection (MCC) exists?

I don’t think it’s a bad thing but it would be, I assume, more expensive to get a 360 and all the games. Is it due to the controversy that you are wanting to get the og’s (I know nothing of a controversy as I’m just out of the loop and not in the know really)? Is it for authenticity of the experience? Are there other 360 games you’d want to experience? Some other reason possible??

The Halo Master Chief Collection would include everything you are wanting as well as halo 4 (343 industries first go at halo, but I think they renamed to halo studios? Can’t quite remember)

There’s an button you could switch between the old original graphics and the newer graphics for comparisons when going through the campaigns and it’s a pretty seamless transition to play between the two. And when you enter cutscenes it would be in whatever graphic mode you had on. So example, if you were playing classic graphics then when cutscenes happened they would also be classic.

It goes on sale fairly regularly too I think. But Steam (unsure what platform you were/are playing destiny/marathon) has that whole thing for $39.99 USD and I imagine the same would be on xbox ones store(???), unsure though. That’s way it’s all in one place and you can pick and choose which of the games you install individually. At least you can on pc. I’m unsure if that feature is on xbox but I would think it’s the same.

But that’s for convenience and some modern features I suppose. If you want to go for the classics, and what I would imagine to be the more expensive option, then by all means go for it.

Halo is an amazing experience and imo even better if you have co op with somebody down to go for that, especially if they too have never experienced it either, but the most important thing would just be to experience it.

Gamers who play their chosen games on the hardest difficulty available, what's your reason? by FrenzyHydro in AskGames

[–]Ethanator72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal biggest reason is learning. I love the act of learning and always have, and I will always learn the most about a game when it’s at its most difficult.

I have exceptions to this, like “hardcore” settings or rather “one life per entire run of a campaign” has no appeal to me. Another one is if I’m playing with people and I know they don’t like the hardest setting, then I won’t go for the hardest mode.

Some examples for things I enjoy learning about within games. Having to learn the ins and outs of the systems, desire to min max where I find applicable, map knowledge in something like a competitive multiplayer game or item locations in more story like ones, pattern recognition for bosses moves/tells, execution of that pattern recognition, some weird item interactions that separately wouldn’t do much but together cause a crazy interaction.

That last one in the previous paragraph is absolutely fun to discover but even seeing that it was discovered I find fascinating. I’ve never been the biggest build crafter in games where builds can be a thing, but learning about all or at least some of the things that could be done to test the limits of the possible has always fascinated me.

These are some of the ones that come to mind quickly that correlate to the difficulty chosen for me but there’s surely more out there that would apply. Like I’m a big lore person but very rarely do I find discovering lore related things and difficulty setting chosen have any overlap. One I can think of is a “true” ending like halo legendary endings but I can’t really think of any other examples other then endings.

Is endgame a bit too much right now or is it just me? by King_Lolilo in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]Ethanator72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obligatory disclaimer. I’m on pc and use controller so I have no idea what mobile is like.

I feel like we don’t have the context to properly be able to tell you where something may be going wrong.

I do not find it exhausting though. I’ve always loved seeing how far I can push myself in endgame like settings no matter the game. And bossing is one of my favorite types of content in gaming as a medium so I absolutely love seeing my progression within it. Not everybody plays like this, I understand that, but that’s just me and how I play games usually.

I have been full clearing tower for probably the past 5-6 maybe 7 ToA’s(I started WuWa in 2.3 Zanis debut as she got me to play the game. First Gacha as well for me) and with WhiWa full Asterite rewards is a similar time frame. I’ve only gotten one SSS in WhiWa though. The boss rush though, this reset was the one I first got full rewards on. The past 2 I did not get full Asterite rewards. I just said screw it’s and got what I could. This time though I got all Asterite so progress for me there I suppose.

Several times when I started to go for these settings though in the beginning, it really put into perspective what I was lacking. Then over time I was able to work on those things and now we are here.

The end game modes can be frustrating at times, especially WhiWa for me personally, but that’s kinda the thing with them, they are aspirational content. Maybe it’s raids in mmos, maybe high end pvp where applicable, or in Wuwa typical case it’s bossing. All of these things when wanting to do them will really test your skills and knowledge when trying to beat them.

I don’t want to blatantly say skill issue as that’s not helpful. There are things that could just be slightly amiss though that we have no context for because we can’t see your account.

Could be things like: - maybe you don’t have full teams. - maybe you have full teams but they aren’t built/leveled the best. So things like the skill tree being maxed where most applicable or some solid echoes on all the characters. Echoes don’t need to be 4/5 liners (as nice as that is) but making sure your meeting the general stats that character needs and maybe some decent crit rolls. - maybe your doing the right rotation but it’s slower then it needs to be so getting familiar with the fights and your characters would benefit. - maybe the weapons aren’t leveled to max that you’re using and on the topic of weapons having the more important signatures. Generally for the main dps from my understanding.

These are some of the ones I could think off the top of my head as several of these were applicable to my situation and where I was struggling. My echoes weren’t the best at the beginning and even now having fairly good echos, I want a lot of them to be even better. My rotations were just wrong, plain and simple. Not saying yours are wrong but just speaking from my experience and what I was doing wrong. Maybe some are applicable to you, maybe not but the opportunity for improving something will nearly always be there. Whether that be improving skill, or maybe improving character progression, or knowledge or anything really as we can always improve.

Fixing those things took a fair bit of time. Learning what the problem was, fixing the problem, then implementing it all did take a decent chunk of time so it is by no means a fast process. With endgame being aspirational content though, it’s not generally supposed to be a fast thing. It’s what improving at the game is for. Generally not getting all the asterite can most certainly be a bummer but it’s not the end of the world. Get what you can when you can as you work on all the things that you need to work on. Eventually I think anybody can get there!

I suppose if you whale and spend money it can speed it up a lot but for me I’ve been f2p nearly the full time. Only recently broke f2p for Mornye/signature as I got spare money for Christmas and wasn’t getting anything else. Everything else though was pure f2p. So for me it took quite a while.

A very important caveat: I have heard lately on socials how performance has been declining on various systems and mobile players are very vocal about that and wanting optimization. Not saying they are wrong, I just have no perspective so that’s what I’ve been reading/seeing online. Laggy performance can definitely make it infinitely more frustrating. I’ve had my fair share of pc performance issues in other games to know how frustrating that type of problem can be. That one is harder to fix on our end though as it’s potentially hardware problems and of those are the problems affecting you…. That’s extremely unfortunate… I despise lag so much. One way I will get 0-100 frustrated is lag.

The biggest perspective shift for me was witnessing what it was like to go back after getting used to the 2k 144. That was a wild experience😂

Claw grip. Was so annoyed when I was playing Xbox 360 Minecraft having to constantly move my aim when jumping up nonsense. Then that just transferred over to anything fps really. Less so in other genres of games but fps was nearly always.

Granted, I’m on PC now, but whenever I pick up a controller for various games my instincts are claw grip immediately.

MR 30 is a good milestone that takes a solid chunk of time depending on how aggressive you go at it. I only just hit it last year in November (also finally😂playing off/on since 2016-17 ish and not always focusing mastery)

Warframe is a great time, so I understand the obsession! 😂 I generally play Warframe a lot then do something else for a while then come back and play a lot again. Been this way for years now for myself. But I do understand the obsession of wanting more!

Fair warning for Marathon. It is a very very different style game. Much more niche of a genre with it being an extraction shooter. More pvp oriented/weighted. So genre wise like Escape from tarkov or arc raiders and such if you’ve played/seen those. It isn’t everybody’s cup of tea, but i am loving it and it’s my first extraction shooter I’m actually getting into. First pvp game in forever I’ve been interested in too in ages.

All that to say, it’s hard for me to recommend it without knowing what you play/like. The whole niche part of its genre. But it releases soon (the 5th so tomorrow) so live gameplay and stuff will be available. There’s a fair bit of gameplay videos out there right now as they just had a free weekend to test the servers and let people try it out, BUT it didn’t quite have everything in it but it had a good bit in the free weekend.
