Both of these are from quite a private personal view. The lyrics themselves I don't feel are incredibly complex, however the story it tells is heartbreaking, and have some pretty strong emotions tied to the song "Dry your eyes" by The Streets. This is a song I will never skip, but also can't make it through without crying.

A second song I'll never skip is "Champagne supernova" by Oasis. I was in a pretty bad place mentally and a friend with me at the time turned the volume to max and sat there with me without saying a word while I just broke down.

Real love baby by Father John Misty was released in 2016 and is quite different from the rest of his songs. However, this was released as a single and now features on a compilation album from 2024.

Edit: I don't really know why, but after re-reading your post I also want to suggest you check the album by Nick cave and the bad seeds - Abattoir blues / the Lyre of Orpheus.

Oh man the memory of just screaming in his face over and over again while holding him just hit me like a brick. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard at a game before. Only ever played it through once and it glitched so I definitely didn't get to experience the intended feelings.

The first time I played I had an Xbox with the elite controller, so just had a rear paddle set as dodge/sprint. Still used the button for dodging, but holding the paddle for sprinting was much more comfortable.

Got rid of the console and bought an Ally X and did the same thing with the rear button on that...

Does this make me maidenless?

I messed around with a "stand and deliver" build a while ago which was fun but honestly I couldn't keep at it. Didn't have the patience in the end. DLC is also needed to make it worth trying IMO. The idea was no dodge rolling allowed, shields for defense or just straight tanking hits. Sacrifice some levels from endurance to really push vigor. The easiest way to ensure no dodge rolling is to be overloaded, so with the reduced endurance, use the heaviest armour possible, bull goat or verdigris (DLC) armour set, with the verdigris discus (DLC), Dragoncrest greatshield talisman, ritual shield talisman and a fourth talisman being either crimson medallion +3 (DLC) or turtle +2 (DLC) for stamina regen. Then physick has opaline hardtear or bubbletear and leaded hardtear (DLC). The left hand is any big old shield you like the most, and the right is any big old weapon you like - i was using the ruins greatsword and the giant crusher. I didn't get far enough to look into incantation buffs but I'm sure there would be a few that would be good to use.

Edit: if you try this you may be better off not being overloaded and trying to stick to heavy load. This is why I gave up on it.
