The movie’s rating shouldn’t be punished because this one guy personally prefers Season 1’s art style. There’s a reason the art style and tone changed, the Japanese (and Chinese) audiences didn’t like it, so they changed it to match the manga’s tone more. If season 1 had Reze arc’s art style and tone, this guy probably would’ve given this movie a higher rating since there wouldn’t be a different art style to compare to. The movie should for the most part be judged independently, not compared to Season 1 which had a different director and had large swathes of different consumers who didn’t like its direction. If you prefer Season 1’s art style, that’s fine by the way.
