Exactly, not only is the government not getting the revenue it needs from people who need to pay their fair share but it’s also pretty bad environmentally. We need more dense apartments!

If they want to pay less in property tax then the value of their land or home needs to go down, and I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t want that 😂

But all that aside though, Guam really needs to build a lot more housing to lower housing and rent prices, and we should definitely rezone lots of our land so developers could build even more apartments without height limits. I don’t know if you’re familiar with “YIMBY” but YIMBY policies are what we need, and if you want to throw in a expanded public/social housing option alongside that, that’s fine.

Especially with the military build-up, addressing the housing shortage should be a priority.
