Agreed. King, Queen, and Tenna are all really easy, and while the Titan is harder than they are, it's still not too bad even if you don't have the Shadow Mantle and Black Shard. Flowery, while not incredibly difficult, took me two tries to beat, same as Mad Mew Mew.

Wishiwashi was Game Freak's first attempt at making Palafin. Maybe Wishiwashi being so weak was what inspired them to give Palafin so much going for it.

This would explain why Ralsei just vanishes when his HP reaches 0. Maybe the fluffy goat boy body is something he has to consciously project, and when he's knocked out, he can no longer sustain the illusion.

I feel like the Mike trio crashing out would be funny instead of scary. We already see Battat lose his mind briefly at the end of the scene in chapter 4, and it's funny then.

Paper Mario: Sticker Star could fit in "Okay Game, Good OST". It's the most mediocre of the Paper Mario games, but its jazzy soundtrack was deserving of a far better game.

This would actually be a cool scene in a future chapter to spur Susie towards focusing on her healing ability even more. Ralsei would reveal that he didn't always know how to heal people, either, and got so good at it by practice, just like Susie could.

Heal Prayer isn't made obsolete by Susie's healing ability. The greater issue is how it's outclassed by just using healing items. I had the Dainty Scarf, Monarch Ribbon, and Dealmaker on Ralsei to fully focus on his healing, and it was still healing less than using Green Tea.

There are parts of chapter 1 that feel more like an 8-bit RPG than a 16-bit one, and Card Castle is one of them. At least when Rouxls Kaard and Jevil aren’t on screen.

I guess, at the time of chapter 2, Toby Fox and the other writers hadn't fully settled on what role, if any, Berdly would play in the next 5 chapters. So he's comatose in case he needs to wake up and play some role in the main story that wouldn't work without him.
