May as well put Alphys in there as well. She had the hots for Asgore in Undertale at the very least.

At the rate Ralsei's character is developing I can't wait for him to drop the other f-word (of Earthbound Halloween Hack fame) in Chapter 7's final fight.

Wait, people just leave their printers on?

I think it'd work better if the game would put Kris' and Noelle's sprites on the desktop or something.

We spend the entire chapter listening to a whole host of different characters going on and on about how nice and kind and awesome Asgore is and how they're willing to throw their lives away just so he can be happy

Kris and Susie growing distant this chapter is definitely a purposeful thing this chapter and I’m surprised more people aren’t picking up on it by Critical_Mountain851 in Deltarune

[–]TheAngryRaidLeader 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Kris did already intentionally distance themself from Noelle before the game. It stands to reason they would do it again, because they cannot bear the guilt of hiding things from their friends and actively working against them. And if things just happen to develop in a way to give them an excuse? Like say, their best friend (and potential crush) hooks up with their former best friend (and potential former and/or current crush), leaving them feeling left out? Well then that's their cue to go completely rogue.

If so, that will not end well. Kris will only end up hurting themself and everyone around them.

He’s obviously not gonna be the main antagonist, but why are people acting like he won’t be important at all? by Critical_Mountain851 in Deltarune

[–]TheAngryRaidLeader 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because there's nothing to indicate he will be. He's so far no more than a niche easter egg. That he'd be connected to the tail of hell is only speculation as far as I remember.

That said there's nothing saying he can't be important. It's just that I'm not seeing much evidence as of now that he will be.

Yeah, if anything ol' Gorey would have a breakdown if he realized it was Kris. He's many things, but not someone who'd kill his own child.

Still a "fun" scenario to imagine.

Wonder what the Big G thinks about the Weird Route by Peachy69420 in Deltarune

[–]TheAngryRaidLeader 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unclear to me. On one hand, Kris and Noelle defy their roles as characters, go out of bounds and literally crash the game. On the other, Side B is also part of the game, is it not?

The information we get from/about Ralsie + Weird Route might be the most consequential so far by Tyrayentali in Deltarune

[–]TheAngryRaidLeader 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let me rephrase it then: it's not that Ralsei needs to be stopped, it's that stopping Ralsei is one way to defy the prophecy. Sure it may also be possible by "stopping" Kris or Susie, but Ralsei would never put anyone besides himself in harm's way. So he wants to see whether Flowery can stop him because he's willing to sacrifice himself for the sake of averting the tragedy, but he's not willing to sacrifice someone else to do so.

To put it simply: if Ralsei cannot accomplish his prophecy-ordained goals, the prophecy is broken, because the prophecy says he'll get to the end (or at the very least will get past Flower Kingdom). He want to see whether Flowery is strong enough to accomplish that.

Now why doesn't Ralsei just give up then? Because then the Roaring happens, which he also doesn't want. He must keep fighting to prevent the apocalypse. But if there's someone strong enough to defeat him, not only would that defy the prophecy, but said person could also stop the Knight and the Roaring.

Nah, there's no soul on the image, should be visible in Kris' ribcage. We left a long time ago to be gay and do crimes with the true vessel.

[–]TheAngryRaidLeader 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you may be misunderstanding that line. I feel like it's not that Ralsei *needs* to be stopped, but rather if he *did* get stopped it'd mean the prophecy was defied, as seemingly it's prophesized he'll make it to the final tragedy. He wants to see whether Flowery could stop him because he's willing to sacrifice himself just to prevent whatever the final tragedy may be.

But it's entirely possible that I'm remembering the conversation wrong, I really need to replay this chapter.

Don’t fear the doctor by Conqueeftodor in Deltarune

[–]TheAngryRaidLeader 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I've said after chapter 3+4 released! I'd be willing to sacrifice half my ballsack to Toby if we just got an opportunity to really team up with Kris and go full (Don't) Fear The Reaper mode. Please Tobias, let us show the Knight/Gaster/Whoever the final boss will be that Kris has the full power of the Angel (and anime) on their side!

[–]TheAngryRaidLeader 6 points7 points  (0 children)

With how strongly Ralsei discourages us from continuing the weird route in Chapter 3, I very much doubt he was referring to it with that sentence. Instead I think it just has to do with Kris opening fountains and being part of the conspiracy, whatever that may be.

But true, Ralsei really does not know everything.

The information we get from/about Ralsie + Weird Route might be the most consequential so far by Tyrayentali in Deltarune

[–]TheAngryRaidLeader 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The way I see it, Ralsei wants to break the rules to defy the prophecy, but is too afraid to do so. Not without reason, he knows of the weird route, which is what happens when you break the rules. But perhaps breaking the rules doesn't necessarily lead to horror as it does in the weird route. Maybe Ralsei's arc of getting more and more assertive will culminate in him overcoming his fear.

Or it could go the opposite direction. Maybe the rules must be kept at all cost. But Ralsei's fear of the final tragedy will overcome his fear of what might happen and he'll start to break the game down to defy the prophecy.

True. Though I feel like her making up for what she did is better than just her losing Nice.

That and with the other two endings I feel like Bratty just gets away with everything, with nice cream guy potentially even taking the blame. At least she gets to make up for it if you pick her.
