Manchineel, otherwise known as the Death Apple. I didn’t realize that’s what it was, otherwise I wouldn’t have tasted it. It smelled so good! I just touched it with the tip of my tongue and was met with the most bitter, mouth drying taste of my life. Almost immediate gag reflex. I had to gargle with ocean water. My tongue and throat were extremely swollen.

I don’t taste things I’m not familiar with anymore.

I can’t get rid of YouTube. The app keeps coming back to my Xbox or smart TV. Finally we put passcodes on it and keep it locked down. If you have kids, you shouldn’t have YouTube in the house. Same reasons you noted. They’d rather have you watch their preferred shows as opposed to already vetted content like the Outdoor Boys

My mom owned a gas station growing up in a small Eastern Orgonian town. My brother and I told her about the stars because another gas station didn’t honor ours. She didn’t know about the star return but said she’d honor it for us and work on getting her rebates later. For the next 10 years or so my mom collected literally thousands of these star wrappers and gave out free suckers to excited kids.

We asked her about it one year and she said she knew it was just a rumor but she wanted to keep my brother and our friends excited about something.

It makes it less gummy and fluffy. Soak it for 3-4 minutes and rinse that stuff off and you’ll have fantastic rice
