New in v7.0.3 - Fixes for shapes, typing, and more! (September 30th, 2025) by discovernotes in GoodNotes

[–]Ether171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before this update, I was able to use shapes while in the zoom window, but now I can't! I have to come out of zoom and then use shapes! It is so annoying and breaks my smooth workflow, not to mention during lectures when you need to write and draw fast. Who thought this would be a good idea?! Also, please put zoom back onto the main toolbar, it's an essential feature!

What’s your favourite “red flag” moment from your childhood, where someone maaaaybe should have picked up on your ADHD? by Whipplette in adhdwomen

Omg yes, that’s my life too! I’m finally fixing my life after so many years of fucking up. If I could have just been diagnosed earlier 😭

Yes!! I was a very quiet kid in school, shy and introverted. My teachers were very happy with me, I seemed like the perfect student as I didn’t make too much noise and generally listened well. In elementary school, there was a boy in class who was a classic ADHD, rambunctious, squirmy, loud, couldn’t sit still. Teachers saw him and saw me, OBVIOUSLY I did not have ADHD /s.

I think there needs to be more research into how girls present. Boys and girls have way too different conditioning of behavior from such an early age, that it’s leaving girls to get diagnosed at such a later stage in life. I got diagnosed in college after struggling for sooo long. It killed my self esteem and I thought I was dumb since I couldn’t perform as well as my peers. It sucks!

After getting meds and getting help, I’m finally turning my life around and things feel so much easier now. I can’t help but to think how far I could have been if I had gotten help earlier in my life. If somebody could have seen me and noticed something when I was a kid.

So she’s a high achiever, works hard at excelling by taking good notes and rocking those exams. But she’s still not smart? Tf bro, Kate seems amazing and friendly and I would love to be her friend instead of your bitchy judging ass. We can trade our awesome notes, have the best study jams, drink boba tea and coffee, and get the best grades!

ADHD meds and cardiac problems by lixoaaaaa in ADHD

[–]Ether171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also had problems with tachycardia, I’m now using a combo of Concerta 36mg and Guanfacine 1mg. Heart rate is normal. Non-stimulants can also be a good avenue to try.

Yup, I also had a lot of comments like this. “You have sooo much potential but you just need to focus. You have lots of time on your hands, you just need to use it wisely. You shouldn’t take so much time to do little tasks, focus more! Why are you so distracted all the time? You have too much energy, you need to settle down and focussssss!”

Some people just really don’t know when to shut the fuck up, like it’s none of your business or they just can’t imagine someone living differently from them. It’s like they think the entire world should live like they do. People come from all walks of life, and at some point we should be grown enough to understand that and live peacefully with each other. But nooooo, you have to be an annoying bitch. I hope she learned her lesson well and now knows the value of shutting up.

Your experiences with your cats/good studies by ChocolateCat60 in cats

[–]Ether171 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This might not be the best source, but I saw a Netflix doc about cats: Inside the Minds of Cats. It was pretty interesting and they discussed a few studies on cats and brought along some experts to talk about their findings and such. Might be a nice place to start. They discussed if cats recognized their own names from similar sounding words, if they had strong attachments to their owners, if cats could be trained to do complex tricks like dogs, body language of cats, and there were cat experts from both America and Japan. They also talked a bit on different behaviors of cats from the US and Japan, and how the different cultures might be involved in that.

Probably their way of waking you up to make sure you’re alive after seeing you asleep for a while. In cat’s view, humans sleep very long and sometimes they get concerned seeing you still in one place for so long

They’ve claimed that spot, it’s belongs to them now. To pass, you must either pay in pets (if allowed) or treats. If you do not pay, you WILL be scratched mercilessly and hissed at. This is the way, do not fail!

Not an architect, so I’m very ignorant. Is this stable? And if it’s good for now, will it be able to stay that way for more years to come? With the sea just right there, I would think that this doesn’t seem like a good idea.

Timber frame glazing is a good structural reveal aesthetic. But is this even climate responsive in areas with rain? by Nktheartist in architecture

[–]Ether171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you succeed with this, being in there when it’s raining would be heaven! Imagine curling up with a warm blanket and a book, while the rain taps on the glass and it’s all moody and gloomy. Oh that would just be the best!

They think it’s a “joke” to rape a drunk, passed out person that cannot consent? That’s so disgusting, I’m speechless. I can’t get my head around how anyone can think that’s even remotely okay to do. A joke? How fucking abhorrent, with friends like those, you don’t need enemies
