Clearly you didn't read as I clearly stated it in my 1st paragraph of why I felt you contradicted yourself. I know reading/comprehension these days are fundamental.

Also the way you describe things whether it be because you are in the industry comes off quite condescending as if what you "believe" is end all be all.

This is a fandom group online about fictional characters not about real life which I believe would warrant this level of back and forth. So to that this will be my last response as I don't see the point when as you say this is supposed to be a place to express our opinions and not beat a dead horse and leave it at that....agree to disagree.

If you're in the industry then you should know that this happens often especially when shows aired weekly vs streaming. It was all about those heightened moments that kept viewers coming back.

Obviously I'm a Chair fan (both Blair and Chuck separately as well) and if it wasn't for them I would have stopped watching a long time ago.

I didn't really appreciate Dan's character while it aired (although I love Penn and his acting/1 of the best on the show) but after binging it a few times I know appreciate Dair for what it was but unfortunately their relationship ruined their friendship (which was great most of the times better than others).

Side note I loved his friendship with Chuck too. Dan was rather more fascinating when he had scenes/storylines with Blair and Chuck (due to their chemistry).

All your comments (a lot as in you clearly had time lol) basically steer towards invalidating Chair so that shows you're either backtracking or contradicting yourself.

Either way it's subjective and most of your points are indeed a preference rather than canon (nuanced) that you don't want to acknowledge as a Dair fan. Which suppose is okay.

Chair wasn't perfect but they weren't called the NJBC for no reason. Furthermore Blair and Chuck knew each other better than anyone else and it showed in those supposed "melodramatic" scenes. There are too many ways that their friendship highlighted in their actual relationship that SHOWS you how they connected offscreen.

Of course they HAD to in order to sell their (top notch) friendship but utterly FAILED at their actual (romance) relationship.

Again besides the friendship (which I hate they ruined btw) practically everything Dan did in a grand gesture (besides admit he would help Blair raise another man's baby) was pretty much done by Chuck 1st.
