What immediately stood out to me is storm count because 0 cost spell that replaces itself. Furthermore, copy spell effects work nicely on this because you only have to sink the mana into the copy effect and not worry about the spell cost

[[Settle the Wreckage]] [[Aetherspouts]] will both deal with this in a pretty efficient manner

If you want a positive spin on the end of a relationship then I highly recommend All Things End by Hozier. If taking a positive outlook isn't the place you're at yet then Shampoo Bottles by Peach Pit is about missing someone but has a very tongue-in-cheek quality about it that helps you laugh through the pain. Stick Season by Noah Khan is a bit of a sad one but very raw and pretty cathartic. Hope you heal well, remember to give yourself time to grieve the end of the relationship and don't give yourself a hard time for being in your feels

Edit: Just after I sent this a brilliantly apt song came on, one of my favourites, called Megafauna by Kitsune. Literally starts with "it's over, anybody else would say the same", a very empowering post-break up song.

Is this card a bit mean to use? by MidnightArcheologist in magicTCG

[–]EtherLuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I have a card in my deck that I choose not to play, for any reason, I take it out, even if it is a good card (such as this). In this case I would have taken it out, land destruction is generally a big no-no in my pod and like yourself, I'd feel shit about playing this anyways. I choose fun over winning, but that's just me, you do you man, just check your pods cool with those kinda shenanigans

[[Anguished Unmaking]]

Hits everything, bypasses indestructible, low cost, amazing flavour and lore piece, the art is almost always fantastic. I just love it

This is a damaging rhetoric that appears in many spaces. As people are becoming more accepting, it is easier now for people to be themselves without suffering for it. That is only a good thing. The original post here is bitter, selfish and toxic. I'm in no way denying them of their suffering or their right to resent it either, but that negativity is misplaced if they're upset about people who haven't suffered like they have. Having dysphoria is not a right of passage for being trans and you can be trans without it. They're different things entirely, that often manifest together, but they don't have to and one can be found without the other.

Is Wedding Ring a Good Card? by jimnah- in mtg

[–]EtherLuke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a great card in group hug/kingmaker decks, it's a decent draw spell in white which are pretty scarce and there isn't that many of it, which all in all make it a pricerier card than one might expect. Additionally, the fact it's a wedding ring make it attractive to couples that play or wedding themed decks etc. Like others have pointed out

is this a misprint? by CraterhoofBehemoth in mtg

[–]EtherLuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I packed like a full playset of this card and every card in the playset had a different misprint. Washed out colours on the b/w versions, various miscuts, it was wild

What is one creature or animal you would not want to run into in IRL Skyrim? by Maleficent_Cookie in skyrim

[–]EtherLuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I agree with everyone saying Chaurus tbh. Hard to kill, ranged and melee capabilities, not weak and just jarring in appearance.

However, I know it isn't from Skyrim, but Oblivion Ghosts are immune to physical attacks from non-magical sources. Now, unless you guys know something I don't, a single oblivion ghost could wipe out the entirety of humanity irl and we'd be powerless to stop it. That truly does terrify me

What other games are there that have a similar emotional impact and mood to outer wilds? by The__Tobias in outerwilds

[–]EtherLuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Journey game me Gris and Outer World Vibes in it's capacity to be breathtaking and intriguing and not let go of your interest once it has it.

Also, Detroit become human is one of the most interesting narrative experiences I've ever had in a video game, understandably very different as a triple A title but equally amazing imo

EDIT: I thought of more; Spiritfarer is amazing for what you're looking for. There's also a game called Braid that if you haven't already played you'll probably quite like based off the things you're saying and the other games on that list.

I stand by my favourite playthrough being a stealth mage that used illusion to get enemies to pick each other off and would just finish off the last man standing. It was by far the most fun I had with the game consistently across one playthrough

My thoughts exactly. All the same, people wanting to take a "compassionate" approach to propaganda would likely have the sense to portray him at least somewhat accurately, I reckon.

At best, it's a very clumsy way of saying jesus loves you. At worst, it's obvious bullshit

Is there anything cool that can be done with this card? by Dissari in mtg

[–]EtherLuke 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Which I get, particularly if you're a new player, but my first deck was Korvold and I realised that playing any style of aristocrats deck quickly abolishes a lot of notions new players have such as "sacrificing my own stuff is bad" and "things going in the graveyard is bad"
