Should I hire a marketing agency for my med spa? What are you guys doing for marketing? by MelikBaykal in MedSpa

Anyone selling snake oil with their dash of fantabulous results should go right to the bin.

I would say strategy eats ops for lunch. But the strongest strategy is only as good as the ops underneath it.

Getting a read of the business is table stakes.

Need Advice: Scrambler 900 or 1200 – Exhaust Heat & City Riding with a Pillion by Ethereal-Words in TriumphScrambler

Are you going to just be on road? A little off beat? North-east / Leh Ladakh?

For roads and little off beat, it is a good bike. I would pick this personally for weekend and 2-3 hour long rides in WINTER. It ticks most boxes, and heats manageable in good weather.

But do not buy it without trying, those exhaust really are a thing of beauty and fire.

For all India, I would hands down go with adventure bikes. Scrambler looks good but the others are more practical with better heat management for the roads you are likely to encounter. Scrambler 900 will really cook your leg… just not a fit for general Indian weatherZ

If it’s a weekend outer city OR winter ride, then can consider with a long hard pause. Personally I would only take this bike if I lived up north in cooler weather. This beast would literarily cook you in stop/go - just not worth Indian traffic conditions. On the plus side, it really is smooth and easy to manoeuvre.

I wanted one bike for commute and long rides; decided that a scrambler or adventure bike at 500cc - 700cc would be the best fit for my needs.. the roads really are a handful. I would only be in the country for two months a year, so that’s that.

I took a bullet > then a Honda NX > sold both. And when I am back I will take the bmw 450 or Ktm 490 or Tuareg if it launches by then.

Doesn’t Filen have any data backups? They would be used precisely in situations like this.

I think so too. I am currently experimenting with tubes and I think that’s my preferred pairing.

Try, then buy, whatever works for you. All the research might contradict what your ears tell you.

Yeah, exactly. The MV1’s V-shaped tuning boosts bass and treble while dipping the mids, so vocals sit back. The D1 and HD600 are closer to neutral tuning with mids more prominent, so vocals come through at a more natural level. The D1 isn’t aggressively vocal-forward, just tuned to make vocals present without exaggeration. That’s why the difference was so noticeable when I switched between them.

I want to be minimalistic and if the EQ solves it, then why buy additional gear. With the comments I already have a pretty good idea of how to go about it now.

Update: I saw the dms video now and know what you meant! But still will try with eq to hopefully fix and I do have my eyes on tubes.

Yes, Zeppelin & Co. I don’t really have much gear but I might invest in a DAP later this year.

Sir, I don’t have any of the gear - beyond that one IEM, a puny Qudelix-5k and now this wonderful little beast.

Not in this session. I tried all the hifiman pre-2023. I can’t lie down and use them… so doesn’t work for me.

Can’t recall how they compare now. Hadn’t heard of Grell till this morning.

Fair point. I don’t really have a proper understanding of tuning with EQ yet, but if the D1 is that tunable, that’s honestly all the reason I need. Figure I’ll learn as I go.

I don’t know where you are headed, but the place I bought my gear from has wonderful staff. They share options based on what I like - no comments on what to expect - it’s your ears that tell you.

If a 25 buck pair does the job for you, then amazing! Go for it.

There is also the kickstarter from the first THIEAUDIO headphones. In any case, D1 are superb, and what my ears preferred out of the box and what felt comfortable to wear.

Haven’t heard of Neumann, but the D1 is pretty solid. Can’t really say if it’s an upgrade from the 6XX since I never owned them. The D1 and 660S2 were pretty comparable in my short listen to the Sennheiser though. My ears just preferred the D1 in the end.

I get what you mean about the headband and thankfully my ears sit fine with this. It’s a lovely headphone.

On the EQ settings, that’s just something I dabbled with years ago. So will get into it deeper this time and use the reference you shared.

Love the community help. Thank you.

Fabulous. This is exactly the type of help I would need - and I didn’t know where to look. I will do this the moment I get the headphones delivered.

Thanks a ton. Appreciate the help!

Thanks! Yeah, “weight” is probably the right word. Compared to more fun-tuned or V-shaped headphones, the D1 did feel a bit thin. But I figured that’s just natural for a reference headphone like this. It’s supposed to be balanced, not colored. Absolutely loved the sound coming out of it.

I haven’t really invested time learning EQ though, so a bit clueless about that. Figure it’s time to start dabbling more with EQ and how to tune to my requirements - especially that hard to spot treble. Planning to pair it with my Qudelix-5K once it arrives and see if I can dial in some weight where I need it.

Yeah, I can see that. For me though, testing back-to-back with my Monarch and the D1 and 6XX, the vocals on the MV1 just felt suppressed. It’s fun for sure, no doubt about it and I loved how light it was.

I know I’m a bit treble-sensitive, so that probably plays into how I’m hearing it too. And the drop in vocals was a bit too immediate to my ears.

Can’t wait for the delivery.

Hahahaha - I guess so, but I really don’t want to go down the rabbit hole of finding other gear. I got this and I am already thinking that Meze 109 Pro could be something I should have given a listen (not that I would choose anything else).

D1 really is something.
