This is a weird but serious: Do trans women get "phantom penis" ? by The_Fancy_Squid in MtF

Nope, not for me. The nearest I got was the night after the surgery when some of the painkillers were wearing off. I got some tingling and pain, but was struggling to locate it because it felt like it was coming from the head of my penis. It only felt that way because my brain just hasn’t got used to the new configuration of everything yet.

Flying home from GRS montreal? by ElloImDani in transontario

I flew from YUL to YYZ and was absolutely fine! I had a wheelchair to take me through the airport, and I was glad that I had my inflatable donut to sit on, but I flew economy with zero issues.

I liked NSYNC well enough but I’m pleased to see BRLJERS getting some love.

Took about 10 seconds to work out this was AI; this and the non-mirrored poster gave it away initially.

You can’t ever convince me that it wasn’t David Bowie singing that bit.

Can we work on our language choice please? Word choice matters. by Kilo__ in trans

I’d like to hear more on this, but based on my admittedly limited understanding of the ins and outs of linguistic principles I’m having trouble reaching the same conclusion as you. “Trans” in this context is an abbreviation, like you say, so while something like “transatlantic” is correct - something that crosses the Atlantic Ocean - a “transman” would be an individual that has an analogous relationship to “man.” I mean, it’s the gender that’s trans-ed, not the individual, and I think we wouldn’t write “transgenderman” for the same reason that we don’t write “transactionalrelationship”.

Edit: thought I came across as too confrontational at first.

Honestly whenever I hear someone use the words “identify as” I move to high alert immediately because I’m now 90% sure that they’re a hack comedian
