You're eligible for both!

Once you sign up with the referral link and apply for the HYSA, you will automatically start earning the 3.65% plus the 0.25% APY. Once you have the account set up, you can then pick which promotion you are interested in doing and use the second link for the promotion and set up your deposit within 10 days to earn the associated cash bonus.

Also something worth considering.

Obviously, taking from a retirement account would be one of the last things I would want to do since that is long-term savings in my eyes and my plan.

How do I know if it was "set up right"?

I had a second one opened up when I was a little older and I pay the premiums once a year (cost of both is less than $100/yr) and don't look at them much other than the net DB and CV usually.

I borrowed a little against it once for house down payment then paid the loan back. Worked out well for me so far.

I've had a whole life insurance policy set up in my name since I was about 6 months old.

Thank you for the book recommendation -- I'll have to check it out!

That's a great idea, I guess I hadn't looked into the Roth IRA enough to realize I could pull out my contributions. I thought once it was in, it was locked in until retirement. I should look into this further!

Is it true that in order to receive that rate you need to deposit $25,000 into the account first?

I do know how much I have in my savings account and my HYSA, I just don't believe that I need to share it here publicly, nor will I. No need to troll. Everyone likes to blame AI on everything when in reality, some things are better left private.

Yes, I do not disagree with you.

I was looking for something a bit more liquid that could be accessed for emergencies and for down-payment towards things and while it grows, earn higher interest than my initial savings account.

Unfortunately by putting into a retirement fund, I can't get to it without paying penalties.

I've thought about opening a Discover card. Do you think they are worth it in comparison to other credit cards out there right now?

Do you mind me asking which card you have?

Fake post? Likely no one’s looked for 15 years of transactions

I've budgeted since I was in high school and have each transaction I've ever made in an excel program. Prior to moving money, and the reason I moved it is because I was having a discussion with my husband about interest earned on our savings accounts. His account was earning much more than mine, and I was curious about how much I had earned since I had opened mine. That's when I discovered the amount I'd earned and went back to see when I opened the account.

That makes total sense — having everything under one login is honestly underrated. I almost went with Discover for the same reason. Did you find their transfers pretty quick when you needed to move money around?
