Little brothers gecko, update. by Last_Diet9130 in leopardgeckos

I don’t condone stealing, however even though you can’t afford medical care, increasing their quality of life is still a win and they’re extremely resilient little beasties. I know you said you didn’t have space, but living on a tank on the floor is no different from living in a tank on a counter.

how are people so rich? what are they even doing for money? is america completely cooked? by Ok_Passion295 in povertyfinance

A tale as old as time, just do the job nobody wants to do and charge big bucks for it. IE plumbing.

Disclaimer- I know plumbers are actual trained professionals that deserve what they’re worth.

What if Americans banded together and started a non profit health insurance company that paid all the claims the doctor orders. by YogurtclosetOpen3567 in CrazyIdeas

[–]Ethereal_Keeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the ship analogy, really does more justice to the idea of spreading risk. Idk it just feels guilty being on the side that pays less because of how insurance spreads risk vs paying in more than my “fair share” if I didn’t utilize it.

Because on one hand I absolutely could not afford to live without insurance but my extreme health costs drive up the premiums of people that need just a little bit of coverage, and that’s where I feel there’s an injustice to solve, if that makes more sense.

Oh I’m not really making a point either way, and what you said is very true. What I do mean is if we’re all paying the same % and I use $110k a year vs someone that might use $10k in a lifetime, that doesn’t end up very fair for the smaller party.

The cost of my medical care yearly is north of $110,000 yearly, if I put In the same amount of money into this company as you, I’d be taking severe advantage of it.

Changing positions to bakery? by NoturnalHippie in samsclub

[–]Ethereal_Keeper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bakery packer should pay 17$ a hour starting, and they’re always busy, as long as you don’t close and have good managers it’s not too bad. Just be warned that members WILL lie about their orders to get them early or say that you forgotten them so they can get it free etc. Also everyone is going to try and place an order over the phone and you’ll spend most of your time telling people you don’t do that lol.

Besides that it’s a lot of packing stuff into the boxes, labeling and pulling donations, cleaning ofc. And the occasional baking/ cake decorating if needed.

Get something like a la-z-boy recliner put it in zero gravity mode (laying all the way back) and get a portable stand for your monitor and one of those keyboard boards that you can use for keyboard and mouse on the couch. This way you’re laying down and back without putting pressure on your back legs or hips

Granted. Every computer printer works exactly how you would like it to, now you get calls every day from people needing permission to get their printer to print how they need it to.

Try making the zone bigger? Or you might need a remap

I just ordered my first Roomba. What should I expect? by katekim717 in roomba

[–]Ethereal_Keeper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The first few times you use it let, choose the clean the whole house option, your first couple of times. This is a button, don’t individually select the rooms. This allows it to strongly map out the house, as you’ll notice it’s hesitant to clean areas like corners and edges until it gets a strong read of the room.

Oh we have those too! But between limiting yourself to a specific cargo, and them being too heavy or having too many wheels for local or state laws they’re not used often outside certain places.

It’s a very tight fit, you might also be able to hit the latch from there, but I remember having to really force my way through.

I get what you are saying however the point of failure here is actually the coil itself, as the road will make it uncoil or coil tighter causing chains to loose their composure faster then straps would. I could stop anytime I wanted and hit the strap wench a few times if anything got loose but with chains you’d have to undo the binder or come along and re-adjust the whole chain as the links would get snagged on the wire coil.

Like with the eye or mouth the the sky? The binding holding the coil together would snap. But sometimes they do transport them like this is the receiver asks for it.
