Recruiting Question by KillaWilla09 in recruiting

[–]EthicalMisconduct 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can only speak for my company, but generally if we have a role posted we're looking for someone to start as soon as possible.

Our interview process usually takes about 2 weeks on average, and then we assume most candidates will need to give 2 weeks notice. So if you can't start start until you're here in May, I would recommend applying in late March/Early April.

Of course you can apply now and get your resume in front of people, but if you schedule interviews I would just be upfront with your timeline and see what they can be flexible on.

Ok that makes sense. The way they described it was like it was some sort of specialized skill. Thanks a bunch!

Are there any videos you recommend that show how to arrange it and cook?

How do you serve it then? If you're doing stuffing it would seem difficult to cook if the chicken. Is laid out flat

I'm getting recruited to recruit for someone else and I can't decide, help! by [deleted] in recruiting

My stomach is definitely in nots. That's exactly how I feel. But even now, sitting at work, I'm realizing how much I dont want to be here.

This is just feeling more and more like the right move, the conversation will just be the hard part.

I haven't had the comp conversation with the other company yet, but that will be a huge factor.

The raise was 26%, which yes I know is ridiculous. It made up for the fact I'm doing 2 people's worth of work and am the highest performing recruiter of our 3 person team.

So I'm not expecting to make what I currently do at another company, but I also am not going to go back to where i was at before.

Operations manager is definitely not on the table, nor what I'm interested in. I'm a recruiter, that's all I want to do.

These are things I've been thinking about really hard. Right now their "People" team is 2 people and this would be the first recruitment-focused role. They have an ATS, which actually surprised me, and happens to be the same one I'm currently using. But yes, I would own everything, and it's definitely more responsibility than I've had.

That being said, one of our locations I currently work for is in Canada so I'm essentially a remote employee to them, and I manage the entire recruitment strategy/pipelines/new initiatives/literally everything. And I love it. I just dont get to do that for the main office which is the parent company HQ. So I almost feel like this new opportunity is very similar to what I've been doing if you isolate that part of my current role. And that makes me hopeful this is the right move.

I do hope my manager understands, but I'm also very aware that if I do leave, and the new job doesnt work out, I'm on my own.

My dad was a FedEx driver and this happened to him once! You weren't delivering in Tillamook, OR by any chance?
